Today we’d like to introduce you to Thadeus Gonzalez.
Hi Thadeus, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My name is Thadeus Gonzalez – singer /songwriter from SF bay area CA. Been blasting rock n roll and playing shows since I was extremely underage. Always lived and loved recording , writing and performing. I can’t remember when I wasn’t into anything else … maybe Batman
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Nothing is Smooth, money, Band members, equipment, record labels, health, addictions, trends…
Everything falls apart and comes around again. No smooth sailing.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My strengths are songwriting and being a frontman. I pull from PJ Harvey / David Gahan and Jason Isbell . Rad folks.
I’m most proud of my albums, getting those out into the world was a huge accomplishment for me. I also love all my music videos. I definitely try to not repeat myself – my new single Bats In B minor is an instrumental piano song with a cartoon along side it. It’s kinda far out but it’s killer.
Besides music , I started acting awhile back for extra income. It’s been a rad little detour – I’ve done two short films and a horror movie.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Well a Book I’m reading now is the unauthorized biography of Stevie Nicks, she’s a way hard talent and outa control. I just finished Louis C.K’s book Ingram, it was a good read. Yasi Salek and Bandsplain is fun/informative rock band drama podcast that’s great. I’m a massive Las Vegas Raiders fan so I listen to podcast on them.
