Community Highlights: Meet Traylon Goolsby of Rêve Realty Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Traylon Goolsby.

Hi Traylon , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My roots are in Palestine, Texas, and my path into real estate has been shaped by my background in communications and my experience investing in properties. I spent nearly a decade as a spokesperson for Union Pacific Railroad, where clear communication, preparation, and trust were essential. That experience taught me how to listen, navigate challenging conversations, and help people understand complicated situations—skills I continue to use every day.

My real estate journey began in 2016, when I started flipping homes. Buying, renovating, and selling properties gave me a practical understanding of what goes into a real estate investment. I learned to look beyond a home’s appearance and consider its potential, the work it needed, and the financial decisions involved. Seeing a property come together was rewarding, and the process taught me to ask better questions, pay attention to details, and work through unexpected challenges.

In 2022, I earned my Texas real estate license and brought that investment experience into my work with buyers and sellers. Having been personally invested in properties myself, I understand how much people have riding on these decisions. I want my clients to understand their options, feel comfortable asking questions, and know they have someone who will stay involved throughout the process.

Today, through Rêve Realty Group and my affiliation with eXp Realty, I serve clients across East Texas and the Highland Lakes, with a particular focus on waterfront homes, acreage, and investment properties. I’ve called Inks Lake home since 2021 while maintaining strong ties to Palestine, so both communities are a meaningful part of my life and business. Working in these areas allows me to combine my connection to the communities with my experience evaluating and marketing properties.

One milestone I’m particularly proud of was ranking No. 4 among eXp Realty’s individual agents in Texas by sales volume for July 2026. I was also recognized among the Listing League Network’s top producers for the third quarter of 2026. Those recognitions mean a great deal to me because they reflect the trust clients have placed in me and the work that goes into each transaction.

Looking back, each part of my career has contributed something valuable to the work I do now. Communications taught me to listen and be clear. Investing taught me to evaluate opportunities carefully and solve problems. Bringing those experiences together has helped me build a business centered on relationships and thoughtful service. What I enjoy most is getting to know what someone is working toward and helping them take that next step with confidence.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. Building a real estate business has meant earning trust, balancing client needs with daily business demands, and navigating challenges I can’t always control. Appraisals, inspections, and unexpected repairs can complicate a transaction, and learning to guide clients through those moments has been an important part of my growth.

My background in communications and property investing has helped me stay calm, ask the right questions, and focus on practical solutions. Those challenges have taught me patience, persistence, and the importance of honest communication—especially when things get difficult.

As you know, we’re big fans of Rêve Realty Group . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Rêve Realty Group, affiliated with eXp Realty, is the business I’ve built around a practical understanding of property and a personal approach to service. I help buyers and sellers across East Texas and the Highland Lakes, with a particular focus on waterfront homes, acreage, and investment properties. I also work with people buying or selling their primary residence, whether they’re purchasing their first home, relocating, or preparing for a different stage of life.

One thing that distinguishes my approach is that my real estate experience began as an investor. I started flipping homes in 2016, several years before earning my Texas real estate license in 2022. I’ve experienced the decisions that come with purchasing, renovating, and selling a property with my own investment at stake. That background influences the questions I ask about a property’s condition, potential improvements, and how it fits a client’s plans. I enjoy helping people recognize possibilities while thinking carefully about the practical details involved.

I also bring nearly a decade of experience as a spokesperson for Union Pacific Railroad. That background taught me how to explain complicated information, handle sensitive conversations, and communicate clearly under pressure. Those skills matter in real estate. Clients deserve to understand their options, know where things stand, and feel comfortable asking questions. My approach is direct, attentive, and focused on helping them make informed decisions.

For sellers, I put considerable care into how a property is positioned and presented. That includes thoughtful pricing discussions, compelling photography and marketing, accurate property information, and attention to the features that make the home distinctive. I want buyers to understand what makes a property worth considering. For buyers, I take time to understand their priorities, help them evaluate properties, and guide them through offers, negotiations, inspections, and the steps toward closing.

My connection to the areas I serve is personal. My roots are in Palestine, and I’ve called Inks Lake home since 2021. East Texas and the Highland Lakes are both meaningful parts of my life. A waterfront home, a tract of acreage, and an investment property each raise different questions, and I enjoy helping clients think through how a property will serve their needs.

Brand-wise, I’m proud of the polished, modern identity I’m building with Rêve Realty Group and the care behind that presentation. I want clients at every price point to feel that their property, their time, and their goals receive thoughtful attention. The experience of working with me should feel personal, organized, and straightforward.

I’m also proud of the business’s growth. I ranked No. 4 among eXp Realty’s individual agents in Texas by sales volume for July 2026 and was recognized among the Listing League Network’s top producers for the third quarter of 2026. Those milestones are meaningful to me, and I’m grateful for the clients who have trusted me with their real estate decisions.

What I most want readers to know is that I take their goals seriously. Whether someone is ready to make a move or is still exploring what might be possible, I welcome that conversation. My role is to help them understand their options, develop a thoughtful plan, and work through the details with someone who stays involved.

Any big plans?
Looking ahead, I want to keep building Rêve Realty Group into a recognizable, trusted name across East Texas and the Highland Lakes. I’m particularly excited about growing my work with waterfront homes, acreage, and investment properties while continuing to give clients the personal attention that matters to me.

One area I’m looking forward to developing is the brand’s digital presence and how I showcase properties. I enjoy the creative side of real estate, and I see opportunities to make my marketing more useful to buyers and more compelling for sellers. Continuing my professional development and strengthening relationships within the communities I serve are also priorities.

What excites me most is seeing those efforts lead to lasting client relationships and new opportunities. I want to build a business that people return to and confidently recommend because of the care and representation they received. As Rêve grows, I want the experience to remain personal—clients should feel comfortable picking up the phone, asking questions, and knowing I’m invested in helping them move forward.
