Today we’d like to introduce you to Folake Bolatiwa.
Hi Folake, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
I am the youngest of four. I come from a family of two sets of twins – I have a twin brother and sisters who are also twins. I know you are thinking, “Your poor mom!” She’s a boss lady! I am of Nigerian descent, but I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. I now reside on the north side of Austin, TX, and moved here about two years ago-NO regrets! I love Austin for its culture, food, people, outdoor concerts, and so much more.
During my free time, I salsa dance, travel, spend time with family, and work on evolving my Fashion blog. I am super excited about my new venture of becoming a fashion blogger because it has always been my passion. I like following the recent fashion trends, incorporating them into my style, and letting my followers know where they can find the latest trends.
I initially got into fashion blogging while living in Houston and joined a local fashion blogger association as time progressed. When I moved to Austin, that was when my fashion blogging took off. I’ve had the opportunity to meet bloggers who have the same love I have for fashion! I truly believed one of my callings in life was to be a fashion and lifestyle blogger. I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me! So, my advice to everyone is to embark on that ONE thing you are scared to do and just DO IT. Venture out and try. You’ll never know where it will lead you. Most importantly, you don’t want to look back and regret not going for that idea or passion that lingered around for so long.
