Today we’d like to introduce you to Sheridel Sevilla.
Hi Sheridel, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’m originally from Santiago de Querétaro, Mexico and I moved to Austin since I was 15. My mom took me to do my permanent eyebrows. Before that time and after the horrifying healing processed that I didn’t know, I was amazed by the change in my face. A year later, I got the opportunity to buy the full manual, products and machine so I began as a self-taught in 2003 (16yrs) and got certified professionally in 2007, in 2011. I became the first Mexican instructor of the American Institute of Intradermal Cosmetics. Being the youngest in its range and three years later, I opened the first School of Micropigmentation, Traditional and Airbrush Makeup for Spanish speakers as Beauty Couture School & Medspa. Giving the opportunity to graduate more than 100 women with professional degrees to start their own businesses in USA, Mexico and Latin America.
The passion for my career has led me to pursue more than 38 international degrees in the Beauty Industry and as a Master Aesthetic Facial and Body Injector.
Founding Beauty Couture School & Medspa has been one of the greatest things that ever happened to my life, it has given me the opportunity to serve to many women after breast cancer for the areola and nipple reconstruction, we have offer this free service since 2010, then we organized the first Spanish awareness conference in 2014. Supporting the community is one of my priorities and I proudly represent myself as Vice President of the nonprofit Foundation “Apoyando a un Angel” which I joined almost 6 years ago, where along with other nonprofits have been able to help kids scholarships and many families in need.
This year has been full of surprises since I just collaborated in two books, Women who dare and exceed limits and women’s dreams boss, both best sellers in Amazon in USA and Mexico…
I’m a mom of two beautiful daughters Camila and Mariana who I loved them with all my heart and I’ve been married to my best friend since 2013.
I’m CEO of VB fashion week and Mujeres Couture Podcast, I’m currently collaborating with Reporte Sports and proudly co-founder of The Recovery Lab and Cryo, a beautiful boutique full of treatments for our body and wellbeing that will also have an impact in aesthetic and sports, but will also improve your quality life.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Been the youngest in my first years of career we’re tough. We are used to connect age with experience and my biggest fear was always a failure. Thinking that I was going to fail terrified me. Many years I did not try to fight for my dreams just to doubt if I could achieve it or not. That fear did not allow me to truly believe in myself or advance in my goals, but I have learned that life is full of obstacles and we wouldn’t be who we are without them. Now I know that nothing is perfect and I prefer to fail in the attempt or say I did not succeed, than not give it a try.

What are your plans for the future?
