Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Eubanks
Hi Ashley, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I found my passion for photography at a young age when my Dad received his first digital camera. I was probably around 13, and I picked it up and pretty much stole it from my Dad, LOL! I grew up in a big family. I am the baby of five. All of my sisters and my brother are older. I became an Aunt at a very young age and practiced my photography on all my nieces and nephews. I remember taking photos of anything and everything in my parent’s house. I also took way too many selfies, but they weren’t called selfies back then, ha! My love for photography grew throughout high school, and I ended up going to college and getting my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography. College taught me how to manually use my camera, and I learned all different types of photography while I was there. After I graduated, I knew that weddings and portraits were going to be my specialty. I love working with people and capturing all their most important moments, big or small.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Getting to where I am now has been a long road, and it has had some challenges along the way. I think my biggest challenge that I am still learning to this day is running my own business and being my own boss. There is so much that goes into the business side of things that people don’t really think about when starting their own business. I have been very lucky and have made so many great photographer friends that have helped me along the way. I owe so much of my success to other photographers who have helped me with my business and kept me busy with clients.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Ashley Eubanks Photography?
I am a Wedding & Lifestyle photographer serving Austin, Tx and beyond. I am so fortunate to have turned my passion into my career. I love being able to capture all of life’s most precious moments for my clients. I specialize in weddings and portraiture. I am not just a photographer on a wedding day. I find myself playing many roles. Whether it’s making sure the timeline is perfect or carrying the bride’s train to make sure it doesn’t get dirty, I am there to make the day easier for my clients. I love getting to know my clients and hearing all about their proposals and love stories.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I can see the wedding industry heading towards smaller weddings, elopements, and destination weddings. It’s hard to say where the photography and wedding industry will be in 5-10 years because trends are always changing. I know that technology will continue to get better and better, capturing couples and families even better!
