Today we’d like to introduce you to Landon Jordan.
Hi Landon, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’m founder of LCJ Advertising. My passion for entrepreneurship began at a young age, thanks to my father, who was an entrepreneur. He started his own business after he bought out his previous employer. It was through seeing the success he made of it that opened my eyes to what could be done outside a typical 9-5 job. Trying to find my way, I have worn a lot of hats. I’ve been everything from a crawfish cook to a bookkeeper before sort of stumbling into my current role. While in a contract customer service role with Facebook, I found that I have a knack for effectively setting up and managing ad campaigns on minimal budgets. A friend of mine had a music video I set up an ad for, and it’s been non-stop from there. We saw over 100k views with a budget of $50.00, and it showed me that there’s a market for getting a small business out there. Everyone including myself could feel that we were onto something. So, I started watching every YouTube video and getting every certification I could get my hands on. And two years later, here we are! I’ve had clients in everything from film and TV to pharmaceutical and e-commerce. And thankfully have found success in every avenue. I’m very excited to see what the future holds in store for me and this business. Watching others grow and helping have a hand in their success is magical to me and truly something I hope to be a part of my whole career.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’ve been very lucky, thankfully, and have had a relatively smooth road. Of course, I had a lot to learn initially. Things like invoices don’t get paid on goodwill, and that you can’t always be the cheapest and stay in business. But through the years, I have had incredible clients I am really honored to work alongside. And it’s continually gotten better month over month. I credit a lot of that though to never being satisfied, even with what at the time seemed like huge wins.
