Daily Inspiration: Meet Moises Molina

Today we’d like to introduce you to Moises Molina.

Hi Moises, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I am a 27 years old Venezuelan immigrant. Came to the US when I was 21, first to New Jersey then to Texas. During the first three years, I had so many different jobs, from warehouses, restaurants to uber and delivery with apps. Back in Venezuela, I worked with insurance since I finished high school because my family had a small office related with insurance, so they gave me a spot in the office. I was super nervous before getting into the Insurance business in the US, first for the language, second, the social connections I had was very poor, must of my friends and known people weren’t here.

After months of think about it, finally I made the choice to start my project early 2020, ignoring all the invisible walls I created. Today I can tell you that I am able to help the Latino community and local people with a responsible advisory in regards auto, health, life and commercial insurance. Just the same way my family and I used to do with our clients and friends back in Venezuela.

Back home when you talk about your insurance agent, you are talking about somebody you trust your home, your family, your future. You are talking about somebody that is a friend, and that’s the way I keep the relationships with my clients. Showing them everyday that I am a professional that will help them with all the tools I have.

I have found in Austin a home, the same way I felt in my country. I am glad to help my community.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been the smoothest trip. Some of the struggles, I will say, were the language and fault of confident in what I am capable to do. Each day I work hard to keep the highest level of compromise and responsibility.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
In insurance business is all about compromise, that’s what set me apart from others. I am the kind of agent that worries about my needs of my insureds.

I specialize myself in health & life insurance. Currently, I am improving in the auto and home area. Very soon, we will have all the tools to help so much more.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
When I was between 12 and 17.

My family used to moved a lot because of work and during that time (12 to 17) my parents moved to an apartment where we lived five years straight. Then I could make good friends and good memories.

We used to play everything in a basketball court. Soccer, basketball. And most of the nights, after playing, we used to sit and talk about something and drinking coca cola and eating candies (some hiding from parents whom didn’t like the idea of drinking too much soda).
