Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittney Rodriguez.
Hi Brittney, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My story begins as a young woman who knew she had a calling for helping others. I first knew I wanted to be an Esthetician when I was going through cancer treatment at dell children’s hospital, age 16. The hospital threw us teen a prom since we couldn’t attend our school’s prom for medical reasons. Well, I was really excited for this! When I arrived into this beautiful decorated room to get ready for my big day, I see two woman standing by an Aveda Institute sign saying “free makeup application”. I was so ready to look and feel my best so I definitely was getting in on this! When I got to asking questions I learn more about what these woman are doing and who they are. Turns out they are Estheticians who just wanted to help others. Right then, I thought to myself “this is my calling!”. Ever since I have been dedicated to being an esthetician! Fast forward six years in remission from Hodgkin’s lymphoma here, I am a licensed professional and business owner of ATX Esthetician. Now doing what those woman at the hospital showed me was possible.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I have had to overcome challenges and doubt that came my way of course! I truly believe it comes down to overcoming all negativity and staying positive! There will always be people who don’t believe in you or situations that may bring you down but it’s how you react to these situations that make you stronger. I’ve had a boss tell me my dream to open a spa was a long shot and probably not happen for 4 or 6 years if even at all. This feedback really pushed me to be my own boss and I eventually was able do so!
As you know, we’re big fans of ATX Esthetician LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I am an esthetician who specializes in facials, chemical peels and amazing add ons like LED light therapy and HydroJelly mask. My techniques and results-driven treatments is what I’m known for. I’m constantly learning and evolving as a professional and a person! I love helping others relax and that is a big part of what sets me apart from other businesses like myself. I am very proud of creating a safe environment and loving place where you can feel 100% comfortable with sharing your thoughts feelings or just relaxing and enjoying some self-care time.
What are your plans for the future?
I am looking forward to growing my business and expanding my clientele and service menu! Adding a new service called HydroFacial launching this month! This service includes a suction/infusion to help extract comedones and blemishes while also infusing the best serums into the skin. Keep an eye out y’all! I am coming up on seven months open and really just blessed to be here and able to spread positive energy through my services and vibes.
