Exploring Life & Business with Jenny Lee

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenny Lee.

Hi Jenny, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My path to where I am now is full of twists/turns! I went to UT Austin and majored in Business Honors and Finance and got a job in investment banking after graduation. I thought life was made! But I always felt a calling to do something more meaningful with my life. So I took the plunge and went back to UT to take all of the science courses to apply to medical school and then eventually went to residency. During residency is when we started trying to build our family, but soon we realized how difficult that would be. We considered all of the different ways that we could become parents and went through IVF, which all failed. I made all of the lifestyle changes that anyone human could possibly make, and I got pregnant with my son and then again with my daughter (without any IVF/IUI). My kids were my inspiration to start my wellness coaching company.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not a smooth road. I have felt imposter syndrome every step of the way. Working in investment banking as 1 of 2 females in the entire office, I always doubted myself. Same with medicine, since where I work most people expect men to be doctors. But I’ve learned from those experiences and become stronger and now I’m all about helping other women succeed and lifting up other women. Someone else’s success does not take away the ability for me to also succeed.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I help women take control of their fertility journey by empowering them to make lifestyle changes (plant-forward nutrition, getting rid of toxins, stress reduction). Together, we work through limiting beliefs and barriers that are keeping them from making these changes, reframe the limiting beliefs and move forward together to create new habits. I love the coaching relationship; to me, it means that we are partners, rather than me telling my client what to do. We get to work together towards the client’s goals. I have been through my own fertility journey, so I can empathize and relate. I offer an 8-week 1-1 coaching program called the Fertility Reset Program.
