Life & Work with Arleni Carreno

Today we’d like to introduce you to Arleni Carreno.

Hi Arleni, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started doing photography as a hobby back in 2017. It was actually in 2017, my senior year of high school where I was not sure what I wanted to do after graduation. I was lucky enough to be part of an amazing class that was lead by the park rangers. We would do so many activities with them and one of the rangers Kerstin let me use the camera they had to start taking pictures of all the activities we would do as a class. I love the idea of taking pictures and capturing those moments that will forever be with us. After Graduation, I decided to open up my own Instagram and Facebook photography page to share with friends and family. I mostly started taking pictures at family party’s or of my nieces and nephews. After the years started passing more and more people started to find me and I was able to take pictures of different family’s it was so exciting. Now here we are in 2022 and it’s been a wonderful journey to make that small hobby into a job that I love I’m super thankful for everyone that had help me get to where I am today.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
So far, it has been smooth road but like anything in life, I’m pretty sure there will be some bumps along the way.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I have always been a creator since I was 12 years old. I love making YouTube videos. But I’m mostly known for my photography taking pictures and capturing people’s emotions through pictures. I’m mostly proud of how far I have become breaking out of my shell of this shy little girl to someone that loves to communicate with people. What sets me apart from others has to be the amount of effort and love I put into my work.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
I find a lot of my inspiration in my everyday life just seeing all the beauty that around me.
