Hi Yana, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hi, I’m Yana Waller and the owner of MICRO’BROWS in Killeen,Texas , originally I was born in Ukraine and at the age of five we moved to Germany, where I grew up.
Around 2010 I got into Beauty and Permanent makeup Cosmetics and it’s my absolute passion since then.
In 2014 I meet my husband who is an aktiv duty service member.
October 2019 we was sent to be stationed in Fort Hood, Texas , so I had to start my Permanent makeup carrier all over, shortly after we arrived in Fort Hood the covid lockdown hit and unfortunately the shop i just started out working, had to close their doors.
Ones the government opened the economy back up, I was so fortunate to meet the most kind family, who owns the LaRude’s tattoo shop in Killeen, they took me in and gave me a space and opportunity to build my business and my clientele.
Around March 2021 I decided it was time to open my own salon back up and start a new journey.
Every artist has there own style of work, mine is European natural beauty, i thrive to achieve and enhance my clients natural beauty,
I also specialize in dark lip Neutralization for hyperpigmentations and one of my favorite techniques is Ombré lip blushing.
My favorite technique for brows is the Power Ombré Brows or Fusion Brows which is a combination of Microblading (3D Hair strokes) and Powder Ombré shading .
In the future, I would love to start giving classes in permanent makeup again like I use to in Germany.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The pandemic was an absolute struggle and still is. The economy isn’t the same.
I also went through some discrimination with a Cosmetology institute in Austin that I had attended , never experienced anything like it.
But always remember, whatever happens , giving up is to easy, keep on pushing and always follow your goals.

My European technique & style creats hyper realistic looking permanent makeup. My attention to detail and I’m best known for the most attractive natural look of my results.
My mission is to restore each customer’s confidence, by creating an enhancement of their facial features , using pigmentation services as Powder Ombré Eyebrows, Hair stroke Eyebrows, Lip Permanent Makeup, Dark lip Neutralization as well as a vast array of additional micropigmentation services.”
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Being artistic is very important, skill, knowledge and experience.
As a permanent make up artists , you take on a lot of responsibility , specifically since it’s a Permanent treatment which can last up to 2-4 years, so knowledge , experience and skills is very important.
