Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason Sandoval.
Hi Jason, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m a Native Texan and have lived in Austin since 2009, I have always enjoyed massages and in 2014 chose to change my career path and follow my passion for massage therapy. After graduating Massage school, as I started working for others I struggled making a connection with the clients in the few minutes allowed prior to a session, I felt clients and therapists are rushed, and this usually resulted in the client paying lots of money and leaving unhappy. I realized the only way I can make a difference is that if I go into business for myself, then I can run the sessions in a way to better benefit the clients, and offer them a better experience. Eight months later, I made my dream a reality and opened up JRS Massage.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It was a challenge starting from scratch and having to find an office location, organize the needed supplies and start marketing. I learned by trial and error on how best to find clients for my business. My previous learned customer service and sales skills helped me to grow my business. It’s a work in progress, I’m always learning and trying to grow and improve all aspects of JRS Massage.
We’ve been impressed with JRS Massage , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m currently a one man operation and my office is located in, Far West/Northwest Hills area. I offer customized Massage services, allowing the client to choose what the focus area is, in addition I listen and do my best to fulfill their requests. With every new client I like to take the time prior to the session to understand how I can assist them, I like to explain how I do things so they feel more comfortable, and after the session I take detailed notes about their session and what I can do for them at their next session. My goal is to give great professional massages, offer competitive pricing and show my passion for my career in every session regardless if you’re a new client or a returning client.
