Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniela Rodriguez.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started my blog, @tableforone_atx, over a year ago. Ever since I was a freshman in college, I wanted to create an Instagram blog but I was too afraid of putting myself out there. My fear of rejection and lack of confidence were constantly stopping me from pursuing my dreams. One night, I asked myself, what’s the worst that can happen? I couldn’t give myself a good answer, so I created the profile and my first post. That’s when it all began.
I decided to focus on my journey to self-love and everything that comes with it. The good moments and the not so good moments. I talk about many topics such as mental health, sustainability, slow living, transgenerational trauma, healing, women empowerment, events and places to check out in Austin, food, etc..
It takes lots of work, dedication and disciple to do this on a daily basis, but the satisfaction I get is unreplaceable. Thanks to this blog, I have learned so many skills and met so people that inspire me.
Because of my blog, nowadays I am a freelance content creator for others who wish to step up their Instagram game.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
A smooth road? I don’t think so.
Having to create content on a daily basis is a challenge. It’s a 24/7 job that is constantly evolving and keeping up with everything can be overwhelming. There are times that I just don’t feel inspired, there’s so things going on in my life, or I am just tired. All these things make it incredibly hard to focus on coming out with something new.
Plus, I was not aware of how much time it takes to take the perfect picture or edit the perfect video.
I also deal with self-comparison, even though I try not to. Fortunately, I have a strong support system that reminds me that I am my own person and make my own path.
Before becoming a freelancer, I has juggling a full-time job, my personal social media, my pet’s social media and side gigs. It was too hectic. So I decided to leave my job and pursue my dream of becoming a content creator. Yes, it can be a lot some days, but it makes me extremely happy.
Plus, I learned that balance is key. I try to take time for myself as much as possible to prevent me from feeling burned out.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am currently a freelance content creator for small businesses. I do photography, video editing, graphics, and more for my clients and their Instagram pages. With my work, I get to experiment with new styles and work with different types of businesses. Knowing that my work is making a difference in their lives is beyond belief.
I also have a pet blog with my beautiful dog Brandy. Her page is growing really fast and I am really happy to know people love her as much as I do.
I enjoy getting to share my abilities with others and I am lucky to be able to do what I love.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
If you were to ask my mom, she would tell you that ever since I was a little girl, I was very independent. When I was six years old, I told her I didn’t want her to take me to school, I wanted to walk by myself. Of course, she never actually let me walk by myself, she was always in the car a few meters away, but that gives you an idea of who I am.
During my elementary school days, we often learned about foreign countries, this is where my interest for different cultures came from. I found out that music is a great way for me to learn, and if you look at my Spotify, you will find songs from all over the world. I love K-pop and anime, lol. I also like learning new languages, but they don’t seem to stick to me for very long.
As you can see, I was a curious child, I guess you can say I still am.
