Hi Celine, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m originally from the French Riviera, where I worked for the Regional Tourism Agency promoting new tourist routes. I decided later to obtain a graduate degree in Anthropology in the United States. Despite my love for academic research, eventually, the pull of tourism got stronger and it led me to start my own travel company, one dedicated to a unique and personal service focused on custom and private itinerary designs. Besides offering traditional travel packages around the world, Azurom offers women-only tours, with female drivers and guides. As an independent affiliate of Gifted Travel Network — a Virtuoso® Member, my company offers bespoke, VIP, and all possible luxury options. Having been bitten by the entrepreneurial bug, I have also successfully managed short terms rentals for second-home owners and real estate investors on the French Riviera for the past decade. In addition, I facilitate the search and vetting of investment properties for home buyers who may not be familiar with this market and area. My company has received the status of “Official Ambassador of the French Riviera” and is the only such representative in North America.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It is never a straight line in Life and it’s okay. I had, unfortunately, many health issues that postponed a lot of what I wanted to do and envisioned. My Move to Austin was extremely beneficial health wise though it was not the primary reason. Though health is always my number one worry, I’m able to advance and I’m thankful for what I can accomplish.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memory is contemplating the Ocean where I grew up.
