Community Highlights: Meet Tessa Seibel LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tessa Seibel.

Hi Tessa, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
My entrepreneurial journey is still fresh- I just launched in mid-January and already have 4 clients! I found out about Virtual Assisting through TikTok and found a coaching program that has helped me build my brand online and gain clients. Here is my website’s “About Me” section that explains a little bit about my background in advertising and journalism, as well as my most recent sales and travel roles and what led me to Austin:

“My online journey started in college at the University of Missouri’s Journalism school. Through a student organization, I got to work on an advertising campaign for Tinder, where I fell in love with strategy and digital marketing. From this experience to countless other courses and internships, I learned fun tips and tricks to enhance social media marketing campaigns and organic growth. After graduating, I traveled to over 40 new cities and 5 new countries, working on-site at corporate events. This internship sparked my love for travel and the hospitality industry and allowed me to learn more about the day-to-day life of Event Planners. From there, I headed down to Austin, Texas, working as a business development representative and learning about the sales world. I learned so much through that role but missed the hospitality industry and wanted a creative outlet. So that got me thinking. How could I use my knowledge of sales, social media, and the online space to create something of my own and target people I know could use my help?

Voila! A virtual assistant was born. That was cheesy, but every part of my past has led me to this new and exciting journey. I want to share my expertise by helping entrepreneurs grow their businesses and gain time back in their week.”

Let’s dig deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you overcome?
I should have mentioned this in the last slide, but I started my own business because I was laid off from my tech sales job, which led me to Austin. However, money was tight, and investing in myself at such a large and uncertain scale was something I had never done before. I created my schedule without being stuck in the 9-5 life. I have noticed a huge positive shift in my mindset and energy since starting my own business, and most days are more exciting than scary!

Let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am a client-focused solopreneur that helps wedding & event creatives virtually through organic marketing, blog writing, and social media management. In my client’s businesses, I am their guide, shoulder to lean on, and assistant for anything they need behind the scenes. I love that I get to help my client’s businesses grow and give them back time in their week, all while utilizing my business as my creative outlet. My service provider brand is just a collection of who I am and how I want my client experience to feel- authentic, passionate, and supportive.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Something surprising about me is that I love to dance and have been taking fun classes around Austin since I moved here. I used to dance in college, and it’s another creative outlet for me when I’m not writing and creating content 🙂
