Hi Vahid, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Sometimes, it’s good to take a risk and do something that takes you out of your comfort zone; in 2007, I landed in this beautiful country as a refugee from Iran with just $50 in my hand and no English. I started barback and bartending at the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Austin. I fell in love with the hospitality and service industry and connecting with people. I also learned how hospitality could change people’s day when they sit in front of you for a couple of hours, and you’re serving them their favorite food or drinks. It’s just so amazing when you connect with people and learn about their world. After 7 years of being part of the Sheraton family, I decided to start my own business; I opened my first bar in 2014, and since that day, I have been in this beautiful industry and love it. I would love to bring the most luxurious and fun experience to my beautiful city. At the moment, I own several successful bars and nightclubs, and I would love to double these numbers with a much different experience; my message to whoever gets the chance and reads this is that never let your dream stay as a dream get up and try and make it a reality, you’re responsible for your happiness don’t wait for someone else to make it happen for you. Always believe in god and keep moving. He will make it happen when it’s your time coming.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Of course, doing something that will take your life to a different level is challenging. The good things in life don’t come easy, but if you love something, you will try hard to get it; this is our nature. We need to believe it.

I am in the hospitality business and own several nightclubs and bars.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some changes you expect to see over the next five to ten years?
Of course, there are bigger shifts and more exotic and unforgettable experiences, and we would love to grow our team family and locations into bigger cities.
