Today we’d like to introduce you to Latrice Prater. They and their team shared their story with us below:
Latrice Prater, the Neurodivergent CEO at The Digital Solutions Team, leads an Operations Agency dedicated to equipping female entrepreneurs with cutting-edge technical solutions. Balancing her role as a devoted wife and mother of three, Latrice was born and raised in Washington DC and obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees. She grew up in unfortunate circumstances, losing both parents before turning 18 years old. She always knew that she had to create the life she wanted while healing from much childhood trauma. After working several jobs, Latrice decided she wanted to start a business to have time and freedom. Latrice excels as a Systems Strategist and certified Director of Operations. Her enthusiasm for personal and professional growth and a commitment to authenticity and vulnerability drive her to build a community that resonates with her ideals. Her passion extends to mentoring women service providers, especially those who identify as neurodivergent, offering them training and guidance to harness their unique strengths. Latrice’s entrepreneurial journey commenced as a solopreneur in February 2020. Today, she heads a thriving small agency, scaling her business to reach six-figure milestones. Additionally, Latrice runs a blog, “Black Girl CEO Problems,” and has recently ventured into the podcasting world as a co-host on “Unconventional CEOs,” further amplifying her voice and influence in the entrepreneurial community.
Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
The journey has been challenging. I’ve had to make significant changes, reevaluate my perceptions of success, and develop my standards. At 31, amidst managing a new business, I received an ADHD diagnosis, presenting me with numerous challenges related to my mental health. Mastering the art of being present for others when I struggled to do so for myself was tough, but through sheer determination, I persevered through all the things I struggled with.
As you know, we’re big fans of The Digital Solutions Team. What can you tell our readers who might need to be more familiar with the brand?
As the CEO of the Digital Solutions Team, I’ve steered our agency for the last four years, leveraging my unique insights as a woman with ADHD. Our mission is distinct and focused: we cater to female coaches, consultants, and course creators needing more technical expertise or a structured business system. Our niche is streamlining their back-end operations, enabling them to scale effortlessly. What sets us apart is our exclusive 3-step approach: formulation, design, and execution. This isn’t just about strategy but practical implementation and enhancing small business systems to optimize performance. We specialize in transforming the often-overwhelming tech and systems landscape into a manageable and efficient tool for business growth. My ADHD has played a critical role in shaping our business ethos. It has gifted me the ability to think outside the box, approach problems with creative solutions, and maintain an unyielding focus on the minute details others might overlook. This perspective has been invaluable in understanding and addressing our client’s unique challenges. I’m particularly proud of our brand’s ability to empathize and deeply connect with our clients. We’re not just a support agency; we’re strategic partners who invest in the success of each client. Our services are tailored to each client’s unique needs, ensuring that we provide not just solutions but the right solutions. For our readers, the Digital Solutions Team is more than a technical support agency. We’re a community of innovators, problem-solvers, and pioneers dedicated to empowering female entrepreneurs. Our offerings are designed to solve problems and propel your business to new heights. With us, you’re not just getting a service; you’re gaining a partner as invested in your success as you are.
What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most to me is empowering female entrepreneurs to realize their full potential by overcoming technical barriers. Having navigated the complexities of both starting a new business and managing ADHD, I deeply understand the challenges that come with managing intricate systems and the need for clear, streamlined processes. Why this matters to me is twofold. Firstly, it’s about leveling the playing field. The tech world can be daunting, especially for those with no background in technology. By providing expert guidance and support, we’re enabling talented women to focus on their core competencies, be it coaching, consulting, or creating courses, without being bogged down by the technical aspects of their business. Secondly, it’s about creating a ripple effect of empowerment. By supporting female entrepreneurs, we’re not just aiding individual businesses but contributing to a broader movement of female empowerment and entrepreneurship. Each successful business we support can inspire and pave the way for more women to step into their power and bring their unique visions to life. In essence, what matters most to me is the services we provide and their impact. It’s about fostering a community where women feel supported, confident, and equipped to scale their businesses quickly, irrespective of their technical know-how. As a woman with ADHD, I value the strength that comes from overcoming obstacles and strive to instill that same resilience and confidence in our clients.
