Folly Parton

Hi! I’m a local maker and artist. I’ve always been creative; I painted and read tarot for years while working full-time. 2017, I won a semester at the Austin Academy of Burlesque, and Folly Parton was born! In 2019, I joined the Bat City Bombshells Burlesque Troupe as a performer and producer. Soon after I produced my first show under my own  company, Rockin’ Follies Productions. In 2022, I took over as co-producer of the Geekgasm Revue and began to work professionally as a tarot reader, creative, and consultant. Now, I read tarot for weddings, bachelorette parties, and other events, crafting candles and art and selling them at markets. I am also active as a performer, host, and producer of Burlesque and other variety events.

From learning to choreograph my acts to pouring a good candle, I encounter new and different challenges every day. The hardest thing for me to do was to quit my full-time job.  I couldn’t have done it without the support of my friends and family!

Every performance I do, I try to give my best. I bring humor, tease, and audience engagement to every burlesque act.  I’m pretty campy and keep my acts fun.

In local maker circles, I’m known as the “teacup lady” because my candles are generally in fine china, mostly teacups. They have unique crystals and fun decor, which makes them distinctive. They are also blessed as wishing candles, which are great for setting intentions and manifestation.

I’m fortunate to have wonderful friends and family who support me, and I try to give back to them as much as possible. I am a hopeless optimist and try to make the best out of any situation, whether it feels like “good luck” or “bad luck.”
