Exploring Life & Business with Alexis Frueh of Error Frueh Solutions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexis Frueh

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My name is Alexis Frueh (pronounced “Free”). I am a recovering high school English teacher on a journey to discover what I want to be when I grow up—a sentiment that resonates with many people today. Teaching remains a passion, and I’ve found a way to keep it at the heart of my work. As an English nerd and self-proclaimed “punny” person, I realized through networking groups that high school students aren’t the only ones who need help with grammar, writing, editing, and presenting. Recognizing this, I focused on offering my expertise in grammar and communication to entrepreneurs and small businesses, helping them convey their ideas effectively and enhancing their business endeavors. This shift allowed me to create a company that complements theirs, continuing my passion for teaching while impacting a broader audience.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I don’t think smooth roads exist, and if they did, I’m not sure what the value of that journey would be. The guiding mantra for most of my life has been: I want to help. Which is great in theory; however, it’s not a great business plan. I have shifted my mindset to understand that I provide a valuable service that benefits businesses and deserves fair compensation for that impact. There are also moments when errors and inconsistencies are everywhere, making me wonder if anyone cares or notices. However, these feelings fade when friends rant about what they’ve seen, or clients send pictures of grammatical goofs, showing they’re thinking of me. As a teacher, I’m just thrilled they recognize the mistake.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
As a teacher, I have always taken pride in making English and writing entertaining and engaging while emphasizing the profound power of words to influence thoughts and inspire action. At Error Frueh Solutions, we bring these principles to life by specializing in transforming written messages for small and medium-sized businesses into clear, compelling content that engages their audience. Beyond ensuring error-free writing, we excel in crafting personalized business solutions that enhance efficiency and align with each client’s specific goals. We strive to strengthen brand presence, optimize operations, and drive growth through compelling content and efficient processes.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
No one is great at everything. Your business thrives on your specific skills, their value, and the premium you can charge for them. There’s no shame in seeking help where you’re less skilled or inclined—it’s a smarter, more profitable approach. Consider your hourly rate for your expertise, then calculate the time spent on tasks you dislike, often yielding mediocre results. I know I’m an English teacher, but when you do the math, hiring an expert in those areas ensures superior outcomes, saves time and money, and often preserves your joy and sanity. No one can do it alone—ask for help, accept help, and your business will be better for it.
