Hi Laura, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Hello, Im Laura Garcia, I’ve been in the beauty industry for 16 years now. I started Alluring Artistry & Co. 8 years ago in Houston TX. I was a stay at home mom at the time looking to keep myself busy on the weekends. It has been the best decision ever! I have the privilege of enhancing the beauty of Brides and Quinceañeras on one of the best days of their life in the comfort of their own home or venue. Being an entrepreneur also gives me the availability to be still be a full time mom. I also offer Hairstyling Classes for beginners or experienced hairdressers. I recently relocated to Austin TX and I am very excited to plant my roots in this beautiful city!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road to success is never easy! 8 years of being an Entrepreneur has definitely had its Highs and Lows. After 5 years of being in businesses I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lymphothelial Carcinoma. A rare type of Head and Neck cancer. That put my Business on hold for a year. After 9 months of radiation and chemotherapy I was blessed to enter Remission in September of 2021! The comeback was tough. I felt that in just a year I had lost followers, lost my speed and felt very behind on the new trends of Hairstyling and Makeup looks. I felt like I was playing catch up a lot in 2022. I had to stay consistent and invest in my education. Fast forward to 2023 I relocated to Austin TX. Starting from scratch once again. Now I had to build my business and clientele in a new city not knowing absolutely no one in the Beauty Industry. I was blessed to still have a wonderful clientele in Houston that helped me get through 2023 as I worked on Networking in Austin. I’ve now met other Amazing Hairstylist and Makeup artist who have helped me get through some tough times. Networking is so important in this industry you just never know who you’ll meet. I am grateful for the struggles I’ve faced. As they have made me stronger and even more successful. As I enter 3rd year into Remission I am truly blessed, and exactly where I need to be! I couldn’t have done a lot of this on my own. I owe a huge thank you to my children because of them I strive everyday. My family and friends for the love and support.

I specialize in Hairstyling and Makeup for every occasion. I am most known for my signature hairstyle “The Hollywood Waves” it is one of my most requested styles. I am most proud of being requested to teach other Stylist my skills and knowledge that I’ve gained from being behind the chair for 16 years. In 2023 I took the leap to begin offering Hairstyling classes to other Stylist and the outcome was unimaginable. I had stylist fly into Austin from other states, I was invited to New York to teach a class. I never expected this outcome, Just knowing that you have a positive impact in other people’s lives is an amazing feeling! This proved to me that God has kept me on this earth to be a positive impact in others lives. Everyday I seek to do my best for myself, my children, my family and for anyone that comes into my life. What sets my company apart from other companies is the perfection in my work. My team & I pride on clean, detailed and neat finishes. Our work is known to last all day in a Hot Texas Day!

That reaction when your client looks at themselves in the mirror after your appointment and they just feel like a Million Bucks! You can feel the energy that they are feeling. Knowing that I have not only satisfied their expectations but have given them that extra confidence is an amazing feeling! I am excited to continue to grow my company in Austin TX!
