Check Out Jennifer Craft’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Craft.

Hi Jennifer, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Ever since I was a little girl, I was fascinated by weddings. Some say that I am a romantic and love the fairy-tale aspect of weddings. I graduated with a Public Relations Bachelor’s degree from Texas State University. While in college, I was an officer in Student Event Planners Association. Through SEPA organization, I gained a few internships, which led me directly to planning weddings at a young age. After graduation, I worked in hotel sales, but continued to plan a few weddings here and there. It was not until 2015 when things really took off! I wanted to find a way to grow my business and did so through offering more wedding services. It is very much a family business, which makes it all the more special to me. My husband, John, takes over the photobooth and keeps people having fun. My father in law, Joe, is our in-house officiant, which you definitely need one of those to tie the knot! I have a trusty team to help me with wedding coordinating and floral design building. The floral designing is definitely one of my favorite parts because we get to make wedding dreams come true!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
For the most part, it has been a smooth road. When starting out at age 21, I would say the biggest challenge was my age or the fact that I was not married. A married wedding planner has the experience of being a bride. Once I got married a few years later, and aged a little bit, it was all good!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a certified event planner. However, I specialize in wedding planning. It is near and dear to my heart – I love weddings! I am known for building strong relationships with my brides, and therefore it turns into a friendship. I believe strongly in that open door policy, so no matter what package a bride goes with, she has unlimited communication with me. I am always there for my couples and we become wedding planning BFFS.

How do you think about happiness?
Happiness in my personal life is traveling with my family and going on fun adventures, and other times it is just snuggling on the couch. Happiness in my professional life is seeing my couples so happy and amazed at how perfect their wedding day was, and knowing that I was a part of making it happen.
