Check Out Christina Wilson’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christina Wilson

Hi Christina, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve been working in the bridal industry for 10 years now ( I celebrated 10 years, in May 2024). It all started with my capstone project in college; I developed a concept for brides to create custom bridal gowns at a fraction of the cost by way of technology. Through the years, I became a bridal consultant at a luxury bridal boutique in Buckhead, Atlanta, and transitioned, and coordinated fashion shows and other corporate events, to “The Day Of with” coordinating. I started by referrals only and have worked with couples in Miami, Florida, Atlanta, Georgia, Washington D.C., New Jersey, and Texas. After seven years, in 2020, I officially made The Day Of With Christina LLC. a reality! I’ve been able to sharpen my skills, develop a seamless process, and offer the couples I work with a true hands-off wedding day experience.
About a year ago, I moved to Texas and started to build business routes in Austin. I have been able to do weddings in Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, and San Marcos. I’ve built brand partnerships that each of my couples benefits from and started conducting bridal planning workshops.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road. I’ve dealt with people telling me that couples won’t see the need or value for the services that I offer; that couples can plan their wedding, or my favorite, they will just use a family member or friend to coordinate their wedding day. For several years, I have put off investing in my dream, because the words of others were louder than the confidence in the value that I know I offer. In 2020, I reached the point where I wanted to give
myself an honest effort! I have the skills, and I am genuinely passionate about pouring into couples and for them to focus on their special moment, as I focus on every other moment.
One of the more difficult challenges was to rebuild my business once I moved to Texas last year. When you move your business, you have to think about building new relationships, rapport, and trust in your new area. I’ve gone to networking events and other bridal-related events to meet vendors and venues so that I can share the value that I bring to couples during their wedding planning process.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a wedding coordinator and event planning consultant. I specialize in guiding couples through their planning process, organizing, and managing the full wedding day. I’m known for my attention to detail and crisis management. The Day Of With Christina has a suite of services that couples can choose from based on their wedding day needs. What’s great about my services is that they can stand alone or be paired with a full-service wedding planner if the couple has hired one. What sets me apart is that I have experience working with brides in every area of the planning process, this allows me to leverage those experiences and incorporate them into the business model I have developed to service the couples I work with. My services and product line truly allow the couple to have a hands-off wedding day experience!

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
There are a lot of people that do not know that I quit my full-time tech job after almost 6 years to pursue The Day Of With Christina full-time. In May 2023, after I moved to Texas, I decided to quit the comfort and security that I had with my full-time job and become a full-time entrepreneur with my wedding coordinating business.
I think something that is special and may be surprising is that I coordinated the wedding of UT’s Assistant Head Coach, Jeff Banks’ wedding as well!
