Hi Cinthia, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My name is Cinthia Fuentes and I am the founder of COSÍ CHURROS I’m a mother of three and have always been passionate about cooking and baking. However, I never thought that my passion would turn into a business until I decided to take the risk and start my own churro company.
It all started with a small wooden cart that my boyfriend helped me build. I started selling churros on the street, and although it was a challenge, I loved the freedom of being my own boss and sharing my passion with the community.
Over time, my business began to grow, and people started to recognize me as the “churro lady”. I was thrilled to see how people enjoyed my churros and how they became a part of their traditions and celebrations.
Today, I can proudly say that my business has grown, and I now have a larger and better-equipped location. However, I’ve never forgotten my humble beginnings, and I always try to maintain the same passion and dedication that I had when I started.
My story is an example of how determination and perseverance can turn any dream into a reality. I’m grateful to have been able to share my passion with the community and build a business that is an important part of my life and my family’s life.”
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
“No, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. At first, I faced many challenges, such as finding a balance between my business and personal life. As a mother of three, it was hard to find time to dedicate to my business, especially in the early days.
I also had to overcome my lack of experience in the business world. I had no background in business, so I had to learn everything from scratch. It was a challenging process, but also very rewarding.
Additionally, there were times when I felt overwhelmed by the pressure of having to do everything on my own. But, with the support of my family and friends, I was able to overcome those moments and move forward.
As my business grew, new challenges arose, such as managing growth and demand. But, I’ve learned to adapt and find creative solutions to overcome those challenges.
Overall, while there have been tough moments, I’m very proud of what I’ve accomplished and I’m excited to see what the future holds for my business.”

With a passion for baking and cooking, I’m always looking for ways to innovate and improve my recipes. I specialize in creating unique and delicious artisanal churros using fresh and high-quality ingredients. But what really sets me apart is my ability to create churros in fun and creative shapes, like bears and hearts.
The bear-shaped churros hold a special place in my heart, as they represent my beloved children. Every time I see them, I’m reminded of the love and joy they bring to my life.
The name COSÍ CHURROS is also a labor of love. “Cosí” is a term of endearment I use with the people I love the most. It’s a way of expressing my affection and appreciation for them. That’s why I chose to name my business COSÍ CHURROS – it’s a reflection of the love and care I put into every single churro.
What makes COSÍ CHURROS truly unique is my focus on quality and attention to detail. I’m proud to have built a loyal and satisfied customer base thanks to my commitment to excellence.
A fun fact is that I designed our graphic identity, packaging, and the visual concept of our food truck. But what’s even more special is that my partner built our food truck from scratch, turning my dreams into a reality.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love our city for its energy and diversity. I enjoy how people come together to celebrate events and festivals, and how there’s always something new to discover. I like the mix of cultures and the way the city feels alive and in constant motion.
As for what I like least, I think one of the things that concerns me is the lack of support for small businesses and entrepreneurs. Sometimes I feel like the city focuses too much on big corporations and not enough on helping small businesses grow and thrive.
However, overall, I think our city is an incredible place to live and work, and I’m grateful to be a part of the community.”
