I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Obviously, the struggle of being taken seriously as a woman in construction was a challenge at first. However, people quickly saw the strengths that women in construction bring and the good work that we do, and we overcame that obstacle pretty quickly.
Other obstacles have included: developing processes for the team that help all parts make the whole function more smoothly, hiring the right people for the right seat on the bus, and keeping up with the fast growth and success of the company!

Our mission is to transform busy families’ unfunctional spaces into beautiful, sustainable homes for lifelong memories.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I’ve always been fiercely independent, organized and interested in more efficient processes. Even as a kid, I was the confident one who took charge!
My grandparents still live in the Netherlands, so I’ve always had a bigger worldview than just America as well, and I have always loved to travel and explore new cultures.
