Today we’d like to introduce you to Faith Shelby.
Hi Faith, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started at 14 years old in a male-dominated industry. Piercing is everything I would like to say. It’s a way to express yourself when ready for a fresh start. It’s a great coping and healing mechanism as you embrace your inner you. You know plenty of people don’t want to see you win. It is your closest friends & family in that circle, but piercing was one thing that’s been here, had my back, and has never let me fall. I love helping others revamp or refurbish their lives as they realize there’s still youth and wisdom ahead.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, the journey has a lot of obstacles, and I always tell people I’m still learning to learn and live to learn more about the piercing culture and how modification works. Struggles come from backlash. We, the piercer, can only do so much to make you guys happy or satisfied.
Let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a young, outgoing, hard, hard-working piercer looking forward to shining the headlights on a *soon-to-be piercing lounge* Called Lovewoundsbyfaith. Stay tuned in 2023 as I will open doors I thought had shut on me.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Empathy and characteristics play a significant role in being a women’s piercer.
