Today we’d like to introduce you to Natasha Klavon.
Natasha, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Moonflower Wellness really grew out of both my personal healing and my professional experience as a counselor over the past 18 years. I’ve spent years helping people navigate trauma, anxiety, and disconnection, but the deeper I went in my own journey, the more I realized that healing isn’t just about talking through the past. It’s about reconnecting with the parts of ourselves that went quiet in order to survive.
After going through my own seasons of grief, transformation, and spiritual awakening, I began to see how everything is connected — mind, body, and energy or spirit. That led me to begin integrating intuitive energy work into my counseling practice. I wanted to create something that reflected a more holistic, soul-centered approach to healing.
The name Moonflower came to me because it’s a flower that blooms in the dark, my maiden name was “Moon,” and interestingly enough, the day I started brainstorming names for my practice was the day of the Flower Moon. It felt like the perfect metaphor for the kind of work I do and the kind of growth I’ve lived. Healing often happens in the dark, in the quiet, unseen places, before we ever bloom in the light.
A big part of my inspiration also came from Gabby Petito’s story. Her life and her loss touched something in me — this deep awareness of how often people silence themselves or lose pieces of who they are trying to be loved, accepted, or safe. Moonflower became, in many ways, a tribute to that — a space for people to come home to themselves, to their voice, to their inner truth.
Today, Moonflower Wellness is both a counseling practice and an energetic sanctuary. It’s where I get to help people find peace in their nervous systems, strength in their intuition, and the courage to live aligned with who they really are.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been a particularly rough road, but there have definitely been a few challenges along the way. Working with people feels natural and deeply purposeful to me, but transitioning from counselor to business owner came with quite a learning curve. Navigating billing systems, insurances, and the business side of things was a whole new world.
Still, those experiences have helped me grow stronger as both a professional and a person. I’ve learned to lead with empathy while also honoring boundaries and I have a new appreciation for data and systems.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
At Moonflower Wellness, I help people heal and reconnect with their inner sense of safety, trust, and self. My background is in clinical counseling and I specialize in integrative health, focusing on the mind, body, soul connection.
I specialize in working with people who feel disconnected from themselves — often those who have spent years in survival mode and are ready to move from coping to truly living. My approach focuses on helping clients regulate their nervous systems, understand their patterns through a trauma-informed lens, and rebuild a relationship with their intuition and inner wisdom.
What I’m most proud of is that Moonflower has become a space where people feel seen on every level. I’ve worked hard to create an experience that feels safe, authentic, and deeply human.
What sets my work apart is the integration of intuition and clinical insight. I don’t believe healing is one-size-fits-all. I believe in meeting people where they are, blending science, spirituality, and soul work in a way that feels grounded and personal.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Yes, absolutely. I’ve been really fortunate to have an abundance of support along the way from colleagues and friends in the field and even former clients. One of my biggest supporters has been my close friend Sarah, a social worker back in my home state of Michigan. We worked side by side in our early years. Her insight, encouragement, and friendship have meant so much to me.
Beyond that, I’ve been surrounded by incredible colleagues and clients who’ve trusted me through every stage of growth. Their belief in my work, and in the vision behind Moonflower, has truly been the driving force that keeps me inspired.
