Check Out Nicholas’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicholas.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My story starts way before my new life began but it started when I got let go of my last job.i worked two years and worked myself up from employee to line lead and almost became a manager but they offered me a job where I could learn coding and I love learning so i took it. Little did I know my new supervisor was a micro manager and didn’t like me no matter how good of a job I did. He had it out for me and before I knew it I was let go. I was already going through a lot at the time and it made me wanna give up on life. I was at the end of my rope but having lost so much pushed me where I am today if I’m being honest. But after that I was struggling with keeping my apartment. I ended up losing my car as well and it was a dark time in my life. Eventually I had to move back home (Thanks mom)and when I got there I made a promise to myself to follow my dreams and not work for anyone else because it’ll be the same thing over again. It just made sense to me that I should be doing something else, and I’ve always been an artist so I found a job at a dollar down the st from my mother’s. And I would bike to work during the day and from the time I got home to 1am maybe 5am I would draw until I couldn’t keep my eyes open. And I did that every day for 6 months almost a year. One day a tattoo shop owner I knew(used to work for) came in and she mentioned she needed an artist so I took my chances. And let me tell you. They paid off! I was there a good while but things weren’t busy enough for me and I wanted to be in a more professional environment so I went from one shop in seguin to a bigger shop in San Marcos (Thanks Daniel)but my work has gotten exponentially better. And Ive been at One&Only maybe almost 2 years now and I haven’t been this happy in years. I get to do what I love and love every second of it. I breath sleep and eat art and my goal is to leave art for generations to see. It took everything for me to get here but it was all worth it and this is just the beginning. Now I’m a full time tattoo artist and I do graffiti work/murals on the side along my pokemon business Elite4ever. I haven’t been this busy in a while but I’m here for it and I’m glad to see where this journey takes me. Cause I promise. This is just the beginning of my story ⭐

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I had plenty of struggles I’m my journey. My biggest was getting over my old life and starting a new one. But I had no choice but to nice forward and do better

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a professional tattoo artist at One&Only. I specialize in lettering/ traditional tattoos. But I try to do a little bit of everything. I’m most known for my tattooing and my graffiti(legal graffiti) and what sets me apart is my drive. I’m contentiously trying to improve on my work whether it’s my tattoo, my art or even my personal business I’m constantly trying to improve for the better

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
I make my own happiness. I love what I do and I do what I love and I couldn’t have asked for a more blessed time to do it
