Hi Paola, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Astrology came to me at a perfect moment when I didn’t know what to do with my life. I felt zero inspiration of what I really wanted to do. I was studying a career that I liked but did not really love; I was ending a complicated relationship… I felt lost when my actual husband came to my life and showed me the language of the stars.
He was my film professor at that moment. We were really good friends, he told me that he knew about astrology and, of course, I told him if he could read my Natal Chart, that esoteric language always had my mind, I was very curious about it and one day, he invited me to an astrology class from an analytical psychology perspective. Since that day, I have been studying it and become my passion.
I love to explore human psychics, so the collective unconscious theory from Carl Jung caught me. I finally understand the work with the symbols and their connections with the unconscious. So, this vision of Astrology became a helpful tool for understanding what’s going on in our inner process.
In 2019, I created PAOENLALUNA (@paoenlaluna), A space to learn astrology from a psychologist’s perspective to know ourselves. My cornerstone was an insight that changed my life: why do we want to know what is going to happen if we don’t know how we are going to react?
The answer was simple and complex at the same time: the key to knowing what to do in life and connecting with our destiny is to really know ourselves!
Now I have been focusing on Creative Astrology, to recognize the universe’s energy in our lives and applying it in a creative way to expression: writing, drawing, dancing, etc. I have a Podcast, YouTube Channel, Radio Sections, and Patreon to show more about this perspective.
Astrology is my philosophy to live, and I want to share it with all the people who want to know themselves and focus on the kindest way to live. It really gave me passion and purpose. I don’t want to know about the future, I’m always curious to feel myself in the present.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
PAOENLALUNA is not only my work but also my creative process, so all the insecurities, doubts, experiences, and everything I learn about this self-knowledge road is part of this process, so the struggle is also the benefit.
To have a project on your own that demands all your energy is always complicated. Sometimes It’s hard to have the focus to keep forward. Because we need time to recalculate, and in these times is hard to have a moment to recharge energy. Everything needs to be in the moment, and we aren’t machines. We need time to be humans.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m an astrologer who focuses on creative astrology and archetypal astrology. I used Analytical Psychologist, writing, drawing, and meditation to connect with the energy that the Universe project on us.
Astrology is a tool to know ourselves. In PAOENLALUNA, we work to use the language of the stars to dig deep into our Psyche to know our symbols, heal our process and transform our lives.
I do Psycho-Astrology workshops, I have a Patreon, and do events to practice Creative Astrology. We are a community that works to improve our lives inside out to connect with the life we want, and that’s what I am most proud of.
What are your plans for the future?
My best plan is to do what I love at this moment, growing PAOENLALUNA as a space for self-knowledge. I believe the future is a consequence of the present. If I connect with myself and what I want now, I will be certain about the future and the next steps.
