Today we’d like to introduce you to Riley Glenn.
Riley, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started shooting weddings four years ago. The first wedding I ever shot was incredible and a true representation of the couple. The bride MADE her own dress (yes, seriously!!) and the day was filled with live music, florals everywhere, unique family traditions, and so much love & celebration that I knew I found a job that lit my soul on fire. The idea that someone trusted me to document one of their happiest day still blows my mind!
As a queer photographer, it soon became clear that the wedding industry was lacking a lot of representation and I wanted to do what I could to help change that. I wanted anyone to look at my portfolio and be able to see that they’d be represented in a beautiful & honest way.
I have been so grateful to have been able to capture hundreds of weddings and continue to serve a community that trusts me as an artist and professional that will take care of them on their day.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Oh boy. Well, running a small business during a pandemic was incredibly difficult! I had many 2020 weddings booked in several different states that had to be rescheduled. I chose to not charge for rescheduling or travel fees, even though I moved at the end of 2020. I stand by that choice to put my couples first but it was a difficult decision to make as a small business without consistent revenue coming in.

I am an Austin, Texas Wedding Photographer capturing all love stories!
Non-traditional & intentional, I help couples realize they don’t need to follow any specific wedding traditions and they get to create a celebration that is authentic to them & their story.
I am proudest of my ability to make couples feel so comfortable with me. The more comfortable someone is, the more authentic they are able to be, and that authenticity is what I aim to capture. I’m big on keeping it candid and fun, but I am happy to give a little direction to make sure couples are looking & feeling their best.
I think what sets me apart is that I truly get to know my couples. I love creating sessions that reflect the couple’s interests and journey together. I can honestly say I’ve been able to pick up something unique about every couple I’ve worked with, and I’ve been able to reflect who they are in the photos I shoot.
