Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Tadesse.
Sarah, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
It all started with my daughter’s first birthday. Like most moms, I poured my heart into planning every detail—I wanted it to be magical. But when the day finally came, I was so busy setting up, managing the schedule, and making sure everyone else was taken care of, I barely had a moment to actually be with her. I got to the end of the party and realized… I had missed it. That beautiful moment I worked so hard for had passed me by.
That experience stuck with me. I knew I couldn’t be the only parent who felt overwhelmed trying to create Pinterest-worthy parties while also juggling work, family, and everything else life throws at us. I started this business with one goal: to give parents the gift I had wished for that day—presence.
Our mobile workshop parties are designed to take the stress off parents while giving kids unforgettable, creative celebrations. From custom denim jackets and slime labs to personalized sensory kits and more, we create hands-on experiences that reflect the child’s personality and give families space to actually enjoy the moment together.
We’re more than a party service—we’re about connection, creativity, and core memories. We come to you, bring everything you need, and handle the details so you can show up as the parent your child will remember—not the one stuck running the show behind the scenes.
This journey has grown from one moment of reflection into a mission: to help families slow down and celebrate what really matters. And that’s something I’ll never take for granted.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not at all—but it’s been meaningful.
After starting the business with just a digital photo booth, I had big dreams for what we could offer families. But shortly after, I suffered a meniscus root tear and began a year-long recovery from knee surgery. Physically, emotionally, and professionally—it was incredibly hard. Everything I had envisioned for our business had to be put on hold. There were so many moments where I questioned if we’d even be able to keep going.
During that season of slowing down, I had time to reflect on what really mattered—what kind of impact I wanted to make. That’s when the idea of bringing hands-on, custom workshops to families was born. I wanted to create something more than entertainment—I wanted to give people what I had once missed at my own daughter’s birthday: the space to make memories without the stress.
Then, while still in recovery, we moved to Hutto. Uprooting our lives meant uprooting our business, too. We had a solid venue partnership in our previous city, and suddenly, we were starting from scratch. It felt like hitting the reset button on everything we had worked so hard to build.
So, we rebranded. We chose a name rooted in family. We leaned into what made us different—personalized experiences, mobile service, and a heart for helping parents be fully present. And now, we’re climbing the mountain of getting our community here in Austin and surrounding areas to know we’re here, and that we’re ready to serve.
It hasn’t been easy, but it’s been worth it. Every challenge has brought us closer to our purpose: helping families slow down, connect, and celebrate what truly matters.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We create custom, hands-on workshop experiences for gatherings that come to you—so parents can stop stressing and actually enjoy celebrating their kids.
What we really do is give parents the gift of presence. We take the mental load off their shoulders—the planning, the activities, the setup—and replace it with space to be in the moment. We specialize in mobile birthday workshops that are creative, customizable, and unforgettable: think custom denim jackets, slime labs, sensory kits, canvas painting, trucker hats and more—all tailored to each child’s personality and interests.
What I’m most proud of isn’t just what we offer—it’s the way families feel after working with us. When a mom tells me she finally got to sit down and watch her child light up, or that this was the first time she felt like she wasn’t running the whole day—it means everything to me. That’s the heart behind our work.
What sets us apart is that we don’t just throw parties—we create moments of connection. We’re not a venue, we’re not a bounce house, and we’re not a one-size-fits-all option. We’re a creative, mobile experience that’s built around the real needs of modern families: less stress, more memories.
We believe in core memories over chaos. In experiences over excess. And in celebrating kids in a way that’s just as special as they are.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I think we’re already seeing a big shift in what families value when it comes to celebrating their children. Parents—especially moms—are moving away from over-the-top, material-heavy parties and leaning into experiences that are meaningful, creative, and personal. It’s less about the perfect Instagram photo, and more about the memories their kids will carry with them.
In the next 5–10 years, I see the kids’ party industry becoming much more experience-driven. Parents are craving connection and simplicity—they want to celebrate without the burnout. I think we’ll see more mobile, customizable options that meet families where they are—literally and emotionally. Convenience will matter, but so will intention.
There’s also growing awareness around sensory-friendly options and inclusive celebrations that honor every child’s needs. That’s something I care deeply about. Workshops like ours allow kids to create, express themselves, and feel proud of what they’ve made. I believe that kind of hands-on, imaginative experience will become the gold standard in birthday celebrations.
My hope is that we help lead that movement—where celebrating your child doesn’t have to mean sacrificing your sanity and your wallet, and where every party can feel as special and one-of-a-kind as the child being celebrated.
At the end of the day, our kids won’t always remember the cake or the decorations—but they’ll remember how we made them feel. They just want to be with us. To be seen. To feel celebrated and loved. That’s the future I see: more presence, less pressure. And we’re building a business that makes that possible.
