Check Out Sherazad (Sunny)’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sherazad (Sunny).

Hi Sherazad (Sunny), it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve been in the jewelry business for almost 25 years, a journey built on passion,
perseverance, and purpose. When I first started my company, I didn’t have a big team or
outside backing, just a clear vision and the determination to build something meaningful from
the ground up. I wore every hat imaginable, from managing finances and operations to handling
marketing, sales, and client relations.
As an entrepreneurial business professional with more than two decades of experience, my
background has always centered around jewelry retail marketing and merchandising, store and
territory management, sales, and client-vendor relations. I’ve also specialized in business start-
up and development, with the ability to quickly implement timely service programs designed to
maximize sales and customer satisfaction.
My goal has always been to pursue work that allows me to use my creativity, customer service,
and technical skills, while constantly learning and growing both personally and professionally.
Those values have guided me throughout my career and shaped how I lead my company today.
Relationships have always been a key part of my story. I’ve spent years building strong, lasting
partnerships with vendors and clients, grounded in trust and mutual respect. Behind the scenes,
I’ve overseen every aspect of the business, from payroll and benefits to compliance,
marketing, and inventory management, ensuring everything runs seamlessly while staying
aligned with our growth goals.
Most importantly, I’ve never lost sight of what matters most: people. Whether it’s training
employees, connecting with clients, or developing new ideas to elevate the brand, I believe
success comes from genuine connection and consistent care.
Looking back, I’m proud of how far we’ve come, but I’m even more excited about what’s
ahead. After nearly 25 years in the jewelry world, I still wake up every day inspired to create,
grow, and share the beauty of this business with others.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I think that’s what makes the journey so
rewarding. Starting a business from the ground up means learning everything as you go, often
through trial and error. In the beginning, I wore every hat, which was both empowering and
exhausting. Balancing the creative side of the jewelry business with the operational and
financial responsibilities was a constant challenge.
But every obstacle taught me something valuable: resilience, adaptability, and patience.
Looking back, I wouldn’t change any of it, because each challenge pushed me to grow stronger, both as a business owner and as a person.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
No matter how strong a vision is, it can only become reality when supported by people who bring skill, commitment, and creativity to the table. Employees are not just part of the business, they are the business. They represent the brand, shape the customer experience, solve problems, and help drive growth every day. Investing in them means investing in long-term stability, innovation, and excellence.
I specialize in building efficient systems, strong teams, and sustainable workflows that allow a business to scale without losing quality or culture. I’m known for being hands-on, strategic, and people-centered, balancing big-picture goals with day-to-day leadership.
Seeing employees develop new skills, take on leadership roles, or achieve personal milestones is one of the most rewarding aspects of my career. I measure success not only by financial results but by the positive impact I have on my team and clients.
I’m committed to continuous improvement, transparent communication, and creating opportunities for others to succeed. I believe that when professionals feel trusted and supported, they can elevate a business beyond what any single owner could achieve alone.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson I’ve learned over 25 years as a business owner is that success is built on people, adaptability, and resilience. No matter how good your product or service is, a business can only grow when you surround yourself with the right team and treat people well. Employees, partners, and clients all contribute to the long-term health of the business, and maintaining strong, respectful relationships has been the key to sustaining growth over the years. I’ve also learned that adaptability is non-negotiable. Markets change, technology evolves, and customer expectations shift. The ability to pivot, learn quickly, and embrace new ways of doing things has kept me moving forward instead of falling behind. Lastly, resilience has been essential. There will always be challenges, financial pressures, unexpected setbacks, or difficult decisions. What matters most is how you respond. Staying calm, focused, and solution-driven has allowed me to navigate tough times and come out stronger. After 25 years, I’ve realized that owning a business isn’t just about running a company, it’s about continuous growth, trusting your team, staying flexible, and never losing sight of the bigger picture.
