Check Out Siddhi Golecha’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Siddhi Golecha.

Siddhi, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey into hand lettering began unexpectedly in a college visual communication class. Watching my professor effortlessly create fluid strokes with a brush pen ignited a spark of curiosity within me. The playfulness and expressiveness of the art form drew me in. Borrowing her brush pens, I discovered a therapeutic outlet. The rhythmic dance of thick and thin strokes provided a calming counterpoint to my anxiety. It was a tangible, immediate form of creation that offered a sense of accomplishment.

Inspired to document my progress, I started an Instagram account. Never in my wildest dreams did I envision it as a path to getting work opportunities. But as my lettering skills evolved, so did my following. It’s been an incredible journey of self-expression and unexpected opportunities.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The path to building a hand lettering career hasn’t been without its challenges. Balancing the demands of social media with personal life, especially during the difficult time of losing a family member, has been incredibly taxing. Imposter syndrome often crept in, questioning my abilities and the worthiness of the growing support. Despite these hurdles, I’ve learned to find strength and resilience through the process, and I’m grateful for the journey.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
