Hi Tim, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My entrepreneurial journey really began in 2017 when I got sober — that’s when I built my first digital brands, starting with The Sober Guru and managing several other pages at the same time. When COVID hit, I stepped into the moving business, which taught me operations and leadership, but after a year I pivoted and launched EZ Pro Services in 2021. That decision changed everything. The company grew fast, and I’ve built it into a reliable construction and remodeling brand while continuing to expand my digital presence. My story is really about reinvention, resilience, and turning every chapter — even the difficult ones — into fuel to build something bigger.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’ve had obstacles at every stage. Getting sober in 2017 was the first major one — rebuilding my life while trying to build businesses at the same time. I had to learn everything from scratch: branding, content, marketing, management… all while trying to stay consistent in my own personal growth.
When I was running multiple digital pages, I faced burnout, fake partnerships, people disappearing when things got hard, and a lot of doubt — both from others and myself. Nothing about that process was easy.
During COVID, when I started the moving business, the struggle was constant. Long hours, unreliable workers, and operating in a chaotic time forced me to learn problem-solving fast. It taught me a lot, but it pushed me to my limit.
Launching EZ Pro Services in 2021 came with its own challenges. I had to build a reputation from nothing, manage crews, handle mistakes, learn the financial side, and deal with clients who didn’t always trust a new company. There were seasons where cash flow was tight, jobs went sideways, or I simply didn’t have the support I needed.
But every obstacle pushed me to adapt, stay disciplined, and build smarter. The struggles are a big part of why the business — and I — have grown as much as we have.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I run EZ Pro Services, a remodeling and construction company I started in 2021 that specializes in high-quality renovations, additions, windows, and doors. I’m very hands-on, and I’m known for being consistent, reliable, and delivering work I’m proud to attach my name to. I also built The Sober Guru from the ground up, creating a digital brand that inspires and supports people in recovery. What sets me apart is the range I bring — I can build both homes and audiences — and the fact that I care about people, quality, and reputation more than shortcuts.
