Check Out Xavier Monford’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Xavier Monford.

Hi Xavier, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was really inspired after watching the documentary Street Gang about the making of Sesame Street. Seeing how that team brought such bold, creative ideas to life really encouraged my creative mind. I’ve always been full of ideas and I’ve tried a bunch of different directions with my videos, mostly geared toward families.

If you have children, you can relate to the fact that your life revolves around THEM. You can’t watch certain things around them so I was inspired by that fact to create videos that the whole family could watch.

But lately, my wife and I have felt a shift. We homeschool our four children, so creating educational content actually fits really naturally into our lives. We’re always coming up with fun, hands-on ways to teach, and now we’re taking that energy and turning it into a new series of videos.

We’re excited about this next adventure, it feels RIGHT. The goal is to make learning fun, engaging, and relatable for kids, while also giving parents and homeschoolers content they can actually use.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it has not been a smooth road. We started making videos and our first puppet, Buddy, back in 2021, after the birth of our second baby. We didn’t have an overall goal, we just knew we wanted to start walking down that path. That can be frustrating within itself because we were just trying to figure it out! Creating videos got bumped around by trying to balance being a supportive, loving, husband, new dad, and working full time. Then, we had ANOTHER baby. Everything got put on pause after that. This year, we’ve picked it back up and there’s no putting it back down this time.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Anyone who has been around me knows how seriously I take my role as a father. I am a very active, hands-on, parent and uncle. At the family function, all the kids flock to me. I’ll run, spin, fall, roll, wrestle… I do it all! I believe that sets me apart because nowadays parents look to distract versus involve their children.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
We are currently looking for artists, puppeteers, singers, dancers, actors, etc that would be interested in being in a video or 2, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
