Today we’d like to introduce you to Angelina Esparza.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’ve been an intuitive counselor for over 18 years. It all started in Japan where I worked as a professional singer-songwriter. My side hobby of horoscope-reading exploded into a word-of-mouth business when I began to “channel” messages rather then interpret astrological statistics. I soon learned that Oracle cards were a fitting tool for the way my intuition works. I can see smoke-like energy from people bodies, and it is another way for me to read where to bring healing awareness to a client’s life. My clients were mostly Japanese and English-speaking residents of Japan from all walks of life. In late 2019 I moved to Austin from Okinawa/Tokyo Japan and began my practice here in late 2020.
Intuitive work relies a lot on word-of-mouth and referrals. It is really very special when a client comes to you with a good dose of trust and receptivity. I am thankful for the incredible client base I’ve found in Austin.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The “hump” was in getting momentum with word-of-mouth introductions when starting from scratch in a different country. But thanks to the cool friendships and “chance” meetings I was able to find my flow at the perfect time in my life here. Another struggle was creating a platform where people can find me. In Japan word-of-mouth was my calling card, but it was necessary for me to begin caring about creating a brand platform. Still a work in progress.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
My card reading service is about tapping into unseen resources that empower the client. We quiet our minds for a couple of minutes and the messages are usually all qued up within me. It can touch on mental health, relationships, transformation, work, romance and purpose, etc. Hour-long virtual readings that begin “cold”, meaning the client need not speak and I would share the messages coming through one-way. This allows the client to confirm if the energy of the session resonates. I also teach card reading. This is my very favorite service because it’s exciting to see clients be blown away by there own intuitive ability. Everyone is intuitive. Incredibly intuitive.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
This industry has grown so much since I began. Intuitive readings are so much more widely accepted and understood now, with a noticeable trend in women curious about or identifying as intuitives and/or witches. I believe the trend will only grow more and soon many households will have a deck of cards used to make decisions, soothe trauma and reframe perspectives.
