Today we’d like to introduce you to Arrica “Ari Lexis” Elliott. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Faith & Leo Day Spa was created by Arrica “Ari Lexis” Elliott, a veteran of the US Air Force. Her vision is to create a body contouring and traditional spa treatments with some treatments available for mobile sessions in Texas. Ari has worked in the beauty industry for almost 9 years and has made her mark with makeup in the fashion industry. This drive has gotten her work published and posted on international magazines and social media outlets. Even working fashion weeks like New York and Austin.
Ari has been doing body contouring under her esthetics license for the past eight years. Offering Cool Sculpting, High Frequency Isolated Ultrasound, Electric Muscle Stimulation, and more. This skill has helped 1000’s of clients to be able to reach their weight loss and skin care anti-aging.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Nothing is easy, that is so true. Being a new business with aesthetics as the main focus has been hard. Building clients is the hardest part of any business. Starting a business in a new state and city, my main focus has been networking and going to as many events as possible to get a better knowledge of my new home.
As you know, we’re big fans of Faith & Leo Day Spa. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I started a studio-style day spa in San Antonio, Texas. I offer makeup, skincare, nails and body contouring services. I am new to the state, I have been here for a year now. I’m a licensed esthetician and manicurist. I also own and make AJ & Rose Botanicals CBD products.
I specialize in makeup applications and body contouring. I learned how to do makeup while living in Nashville, TN. From there, I had moved to Columbus, OH where I achieved my license. From there, I have made my way to New York Fashion Week and have even become the Hair and Makeup Director of the local fashion week in Columbus, OH. Since moving to Texas, I have been a part of Austin Fashion Week and other productions for makeup.
I am set apart from others because of my ambition and goals to get what it is that I need to become a business owner and getting my name out in a new state. I pride myself on the compassion that I have for others and making clients and models feel better while they are getting treatments and applications. I have a goal to try to make everyone smile.
I was recently voted the best day spa portfolio by Booksy. I am trying to just get the best day spa. (LOL.) I think that one of my greatest things that I am proud of is becoming the First and Only Black Woman to have been a part of a fashion event held at a PGA tournament.
The name Faith & Leo is for my faith in God and my Leo determination. I would like Austin to know that they have a new makeup artist and at some point, you will see me everywhere. I want people to feel good about themselves and be the best them that they can be. I have the goal to make everyone know that self-care is very important. By offering the services I do, my only goal is to help my clients with their personal goals, whether it is with a simple manicure. Makeup for a special occasions, weight loss goals that were never met and skincare treatments that benefits their skin.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
My biggest cheerleaders have been both of my parents. I have leaned on them and my faith heavily since I made a leap into the beauty industry. I am grateful for them being there every step of the way. Because of them is why I try so hard to achieve the goals that I have, half of my businesses are named after them. If it was not for them, I would not be where I am now. Thank you MOM & DAD!
Mentors have been peers and past businesses that I have worked for. If I had not placed different irons on the stove, I would not have the skills and education that possess. Each job is a lesson. Each production is a story to tell.
