Today we’d like to introduce you to Catherine Rotti.
Hi Catherine, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started out as a strength and conditioning coach who loved seeing people get stronger, but I kept running into the same frustration. Clients would come back injured, even after seeing different providers like physical therapists, chiropractors, or massage therapists. They felt like their rehab never really prepared them to move again or get back to doing what they loved.
I felt like there was a massive gap and not enough 1-on-1 attention or focus on what actually mattered to the person in front of me. There was too little movement, too little strength training, and not enough rebuilding of confidence.
That’s what led me to become a chiropractor and eventually start Movement Resilience here in Austin. I wanted to bridge that gap and create a space where rehab meets performance. Create a place where people feel heard, empowered, and confident in their bodies again. My whole mission is to help people move better, not by telling them to stop doing what they love, but by showing them they’re more resilient than they think.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I wouldn’t change it for the world. I am originally from California so starting a business from scratch while moving to a new city came with a lot of challenges. I had to build everything from the ground up: my brand, my patient base, and my reputation.
Each new step brings a new problem, but that’s what makes business fun. It forces you to keep learning, growing, and adapting. There were moments when things felt slow or uncertain, but those moments forced me to get clear on my mission and build a system that truly reflects what I believe in: individualized care, education, and empowerment.
I’ve learned that the only real way to fail is to give up. Having a strong support system and surrounding yourself with other driven, successful business owners makes a huge difference too. It keeps you grounded and motivated, especially when things get tough.
Every challenge has taught me something valuable and helped shape Movement Resilience into what it is today. It’s been hard, but it’s also been the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Movement Resilience Sports Medicine and Rehab?
Movement Resilience was created to bridge the gap between rehab and performance. We work with active adults who don’t just want to get out of pain but want to stay out of pain and feel confident moving again.
Too often, people are told to stop doing what they love or settle for quick fixes that don’t last. Our approach is different. We combine chiropractic care, soft tissue work, and strength-based rehab to get to the root cause of why you are experiencing pain. We don’t just attack the area that hurts, we consider the body as a whole. Every session is one-on-one, focused, and built around your goals.
We’re not just chasing pain relief. Our goal is longevity. We want people to move better, feel stronger, and stay resilient for the long haul.
What sets us apart is our attention to detail and the genuine care behind everything we do. We listen. We educate. We empower. Movement Resilience isn’t just a clinic. It’s a place built to change the standard of care and remind people that movement is medicine and that they’re more capable than they think.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory was winning league with my high school soccer team. It was something the women’s team had never done before, and we had always come so close, finishing second year after year. Finally taking first place was something really special. I’ve always loved being active and playing sports, but that moment showed me how powerful teamwork and community can be. It wasn’t just about the win, it was about the shared effort, the love for the game, and what can happen when everyone works toward a common goal.
That same lesson still sticks with me today. Whether it’s helping patients reach their goals or building Movement Resilience, it always comes back to working together, staying consistent, and celebrating progress along the way.
