Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
KC Custom Homes is a family-owned and operated business that specializes in the design and construction of custom homes. Established over 20 years ago, KC Homes are distinguished by their quality and character. Now a 2nd generation company, with their highest concentration of homes built in New Braunfels, Wilson, Guadalupe, and Comal counties, the KC team focuses on creating a seamless construction process for their clients and designing homes that are truly unique to each family.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
This industry is very volatile and moves with the economy. The housing crash of 08′ made for tough times, but fortunately we were able to prevail. Much of this is attributed to the word of mouth referrals from previous clients. Reputation is huge in this industry, and having a great clientele base has been very beneficial for us.
We’ve been impressed with KC Custom Homes, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are a second-generation family-owned custom home builder. We design homes from scratch for our clients with our in-house design team. Our design ability is one of the biggest attributes that separate us from the other local home builders. We design very specifically towards budgets which gives our clients comfort knowing where they will end up in the end.
Any big plans?
We are about to break ground on a new Model Home in Vintage Oaks in New Braunfels. We are excited as this will be our first Model Home in this market.
