Corey Wright

Hi Corey, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, let’s briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
Honestly all glory goes to God for paving the way! As a kid, I loved art, music, architecture and photography. I pursued my passion for architecture through college and worked as an architect for the last 15 years. My love for the built environment, as well as photography, never left me. When we decided to sell our home in 2020 to move to the great state of Texas, the photographer shooting our home introduced me to Real Estate Photography. I was instantly drawn to the business and began a 6 month deep dive into the practice and business of Real Estate Photography. Once we sold our house, I bought all the gear I would need to kick off the business, and INHABIT Photography was born! I reached out to some past architecture clients to practice on their homes and shared some of my work with agents we knew through our home-buying process in Austin. I got great feedback! When we moved to Austin, my goal was to provide the best quality RE photography that money could buy, and we’ve been striving towards that goal ever since! We were very fortunate to develop early relationships with some great top-producing agents who took an immediate interest in our work. Since then, we have been steadily working with more and more local agents as we have relied on organic, word-of-mouth growth. It’s been a blast meeting great people and photographing fantastic spaces!

Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
The business is not without its obstacles; we are still a small mom-and-pop outfit, and much of the business operations, marketing, order management, customer service, quality control, bookkeeping, etc., fall on our shoulders to keep the machine running smoothly. I’d say the biggest challenge we face is with the quality standards we have set is to ensure each photographer we work with can achieve our product expectations and editors we work with can keep up with demand while maintaining the highest quality possible.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
