Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Amreen Ali, PT, DPT, PCS.
Hi Dr. Amreen, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve always loved working with children, but early on I noticed parents often feel unsure or overwhelmed in those first months. I realized helping babies thrive is more than therapy—it’s about giving parents the guidance and confidence to play, bond, and support their little ones’ growth. That’s what led me to start Wonder Pediatric Physical Therapy and Wellness, where we focus on care that strengthens babies while helping families feel supported, understood, and empowered every step of the way.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
One of the biggest challenges has been raising awareness that infants can benefit from therapy and wellness visits—early intervention is often overlooked, and there are many misconceptions about what infant therapy looks like and when it can help. That’s why I want families to feel confident reaching out early, instead of waiting to see if things will resolve on their own. These visits aren’t just about addressing concerns—they give parents guidance, support, and practical tools to help their little ones thrive. Seeing babies grow stronger and families feel empowered makes all the challenges worthwhile.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Wonder Pediatric Physical Therapy and Wellness is a concierge practice dedicated to helping infants and toddlers reach their developmental milestones with confidence. We specialize in working with babies who have torticollis, plagiocephaly, gross motor delays, oral motor challenges, and breastfeeding difficulties related to posture, latch, or strength.
What sets us apart is our focus on individualized, family-centered care. We work closely with parents, educating and empowering them with the tools they need to support their little ones’ growth at home. Many families come to us unsure of what early therapy can do—and we make it approachable, supportive, and practical, so both babies and parents feel confident every step of the way.
I’m most proud of the trust and connection we build with families. Our goal isn’t just to help babies reach milestones—it’s to help families feel understood, empowered, and equipped to support their children’s development long-term. Whether through in-home visits, wellness checks, or focused therapy sessions, we want parents to know that support is accessible, compassionate, and tailored to their family’s needs.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Networking and finding mentors starts with curiosity and authentic connections. Building relationships with lactation consultants, doulas, pediatricians, and pediatric dentists has been invaluable—not only do they share insights and guidance, but it also allows us to provide holistic care and collaborate to best support our patients.
