Today we’d like to introduce you to Haider Harbi.
Hi Haider, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
From Baghdad, Iraq originally so I served in the Iraqi Special Operations Forces before moving to the U.S. nearly a decade ago. I came to Austin directly since 2013 because my sponsor “Matthew Fausett” born and raised in Austin TX, so that’s why I picked Austin. My first job it was as a dishwasher.
May 15th, 2017 my oldest brother and Best friend they engorged me to open food truck because the food is always my passion and here we are. I just opened 2nd location of N Austin and I’m going to Austin Community College ” Culinary arts school ” to become a chef!!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It was not smooth at all, I used to working about 60 hours a week, no days off or vacation. I was focused to do my goals and the dream come true.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
