We started Fen & Hallow because we wanted a space where people could slow down, feel good, and shop intentionally. Located in downtown San Marcos, TX, Fen & Hallow is all about modern wellness without overwhelm.
What began as a small idea has grown into a curated shop filled with clean supplements, herbal tinctures, teas, skincare, candles, books, gifts, and more — everything chosen to support your well-being in a way that feels calm, approachable, and real.
We’re proud to be part of this community and love helping people find what they need to feel their best.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Like most small businesses, the road has had its bumps — but it’s also been incredibly rewarding. Starting Fen & Hallow meant figuring a lot out as we went: learning what our community really needed, building brand awareness from the ground up, and navigating the day-to-day ups and downs of running a brick-and-mortar store.
There have been those slow days, trial-and-error moments, and plenty of behind-the-scenes pivots. But every challenge helped shape who we are — a store rooted in care, intention, and a real connection with our customers. And honestly, the hard parts have made the wins feel that much sweeter.

Fen & Hallow is a modern holistic wellness and gift store located in downtown San Marcos, TX. We offer clean vitamins & supplements, traditional Chinese medicine tinctures, artisan teas and ceremonial matcha, non-toxic skincare, meditation and yoga supplies, wellness books, jewelry, and intentional gifts — all carefully curated to support mind, body, and mood.
What makes us different is the way we bring it all together. We’re a small, independent store with a sharp eye for quality, a calm and welcoming atmosphere, and a deep respect for the everyday practices that truly support well-being. Everything we carry is something we’d use ourselves or give to someone we care about.
We’re proud to be a place where people can discover something new, ask questions, and feel seen — whether they’re just starting to explore wellness or already have a daily self-care routine. At our core, we’re about intentional living, everyday calm, and helping people reconnect with what matters.

Fen & Hallow actually started from my own search for wellness. I was going through a season where I just didn’t feel like myself — overwhelmed, stressed, and looking for ways to feel better that didn’t come with side effects or pressure to be perfect.
I started exploring holistic products, natural supplements, teas, and books that helped me slow down and reconnect. Over time, that personal journey turned into a bigger vision: what if there was a store that brought all of these things together in one calm, welcoming place?
Most people see the finished shop and don’t realize how personal it really is — everything in the store comes from that desire to feel better, live more intentionally, and share what’s helped me with others.
