Community Highlights: Meet Jessica Price of AUSTINDEEP MASSAGE

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Price.

Hi Jessica, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I fell into massage at 20 years old—right here in the Barton Creek/Westlake area—when I took a job at a fitness center in Westlake. What I discovered was that I had a gift. I could feel things in people’s bodies—knots, adhesions, tension patterns—and I had the strong hands and the drive to do something about it.

I was very fortunate to be mentored early on by some incredible physical therapists, including Mark G. Hernandez, PT, who had one of the biggest impacts on my work. That’s where I fell in love with fascia, preventative injury care, and deep tissue done right. Not just massage for relaxation—but deep, results-driven bodywork that kept people moving and out of pain.

That knowledge laid the foundation for what’s now called The DEEP Method™—our trademarked, fascia-first approach to massage. It’s a system built on precision, pressure, and performance. We don’t guess. We don’t pour oils and use sharp elbows. And we’re not your typical spa or massage chain—we’re the opposite. We’re forging our own path and creating something real that people need in their health and fitness routines. For our clients, it’s become essential—not a luxury.

I opened AUSTINDEEP to deliver this method with consistency and excellence. And I quickly realized that to keep growing, I needed to control every part of the pipeline—including how our therapists were trained. That’s why I launched Deepacademy, our massage school and in-house training grounds.

I’ve been training therapists in The DEEP Method for years—but now, we’ve formalized it. I even helped change the law in Texas so massage students can complete 250 hours of classroom learning online. It’s the first of its kind—and it’s allowed us to build a seamless system to recruit, train, and launch the next generation of DEEP Method therapists.

We now have three thriving locations across Austin—Tarrytown, Downtown, and now Barton Creek—with our newest store bringing things full circle. This is where I got my start. And now I get to come back with a full team, a trademarked method, a massage school, and a growing movement that’s changing the standard of care in this industry.

What makes us different isn’t just the method—it’s the culture. Our team shows up every day like pros. We’re game-ready, passionate, and high-energy. We lift each other up. We work hard. We’re obsessed with helping people feel better and get real relief from nagging pain and stiffness. You feel it when you walk into AUSTINDEEP—it’s not sterile or stuffy. It’s alive. It’s smart. It’s the future of fascia work.

This work has never been about fluff for me. It’s about showing up for people in a real way. And helping build careers for others who want to do the same.

That’s what AUSTINDEEP stands for—and I’m just getting started.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not. It’s been a grind—rewarding, but far from easy.

Building AUSTINDEEP while being a wife, a mom, and an entrepreneur has stretched me in every way possible. What we’re doing hasn’t been done before—there was no playbook. I’ve had to build it all from the ground up: The DEEP Method™, a hiring model that actually ensures consistency, an in-house training program, and then a full-blown massage school. I even worked to help change the law in Texas so massage students could complete 250 classroom hours online. Every part of this has been about creating something new, and new isn’t easy.
I could not have done any of this without my husband. He is my rock. He coaches me, mentors me, challenges me, and supports me in every way. Which is no easy task! Being Latina, I can be a little spicy. He helps me keep moving forward when the weight of it all feels heavy.

We’ve built something powerful, and I believe in it with everything I have. That belief—and the people I’ve built this with—is what keeps me going.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about AUSTINDEEP MASSAGE?
At AUSTINDEEP, we specialize in one thing: fascia-first, full-body massage that delivers real results. We’re not a spa. We’re not a chain. We are a performance-driven, precision-based bodywork company built around our own trademarked method—The DEEP Method™.

Our sessions are designed to help people feel better fast—whether that’s releasing nagging pain and stiffness, improving range of motion, or resetting the nervous system after long hours at a desk or intense training in the gym. We’re fascia experts, and every 60-minute session is a full-body reset with a clear, intentional sequence. We don’t guess, we don’t freestyle, and we don’t just “rub where it hurts.” Everything we do is grounded in science, structure, and results.

What sets us apart is our consistency. Every therapist at AUSTINDEEP is trained in-house at our school, Deepacademy, where they learn The DEEP Method step by step—from body mechanics and fascia theory to pressure control, professionalism, and client care. Because of this, our sessions are predictably effective—no matter who you see, or which location you visit. We’ve removed the guesswork from massage.

We’re known for our culture as much as our method. Our therapists are high-performing, mission-driven professionals who take pride in their craft. We show up like pros. We lift each other up. And we bring real energy and passion to the table—literally.

What I’m most proud of brand-wise is that we’ve created something completely new in this industry. Something that people rely on not just for relaxation, but for longevity, wellness, and performance. We’ve made this work feel essential—because it is. People come to us to feel better, move better, and live deeper.

With three thriving locations in Austin—Tarrytown, Downtown, and now Barton Creek—and a growing pipeline of DEEP Method-trained therapists, we’re just getting started.

If you’re dealing with pain, stress, or stiffness… or if you want to feel your best in your body again… AUSTINDEEP is the place to start.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
For me, success is consistency at scale—being able to grow without sacrificing quality. It’s building something that works, not just when I’m in the room, but when I’m not. That’s what we’ve done with AUSTINDEEP. We’ve created a method, a training system, and a culture that’s replicable—and that’s rare in this industry.

Success is also seeing my team win. Watching therapists build real careers, grow in confidence, and develop their skills—that’s what fuels me. When someone goes from student to full-time AUSTINDEEP therapist with a full book and DEEP loyal clients, that’s success. When a client walks out of a session saying, “I feel like myself again,” that’s success.

It’s not about perfection. It’s about showing up, raising the standard, doing what we say we’re going to do, and creating something that lasts.

I also think success is when your brand becomes essential to people. When clients rearrange their week to make their DEEP session, when they send their spouse or coworkers because they trust us—that’s the level we aim for.

Ultimately, success for me is building something with impact, integrity, and staying power—while still loving what I do and who I do it with.
