Today we’d like to introduce you to John Costa.
Hi John, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I was always into athletics. I played sports all through High School and even in the college world. I decided I didn’t want to be in college, so I left and joined the Marines. I continued my passion for athletics and fitness while playing on multiple teams and being an instructor in the Marine Corps when I exited the military, all that seemed to fall by the waste side for some years. When I realized I was missing that passion in my life, I started going back to the gym, and I was back in it. Eventually, I decided I wanted to take my knowledge of athletics and mental toughness and start helping others break through their mental barriers so that they can experience achieving their physical goals. I thrive on workouts that push people to take places they never thought they could go and achieve things they never thought they could, or at least haven’t achieved in a long time.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been fairly smooth?
Smooth roads don’t exist; if they did, I would be weary of them. It is difficult whenever you try to change something about yourself. We get to where we are for a reason, whether from stress, lack of knowledge, or just plain bad habits. When I started getting back into fitness, I made sure that I didn’t give myself excuses. As a husband and a dad, making excuses for why I can’t work out is effortless. Regarding training others, it was tough in the beginning learning how to get people to open up to me and explain their “why,” which drives them to better themselves.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
