Today we’d like to introduce you to Kate Morales.
Hi Kate, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Hello, my name is Kate morales. Thank you so much for your time to listen to my introduction today. To start off, I remember being really young and telling my mom that I wanted to be a business owner. The beginning of my journey started when I was around eight years old. I remember I vividly enjoyed doing make up and nails.
My dad taught me to work for what I want. That’s exactly what I did. I started when I finished high school at 17, then studied at Aveda Institute Austin. I proceeded to take a lash class in December 2020; I was hooked! I worked several jobs as an esthetician/ lash artist. However, I just didn’t feel like I was giving 100%. I just had a feeling that I knew I could achieve more, and become better. So I worked as much as I could , and researched everything I needed to know to start my business.
In the start of 2021 I invested all of my savings. I was nervous to be not only 19 years old, but also being the first business owner in my family.
My parents were so supportive! September 2021, I turned 20 and the small business owner’s journey began! Now I’m the first and youngest in my family to own my small business. I still don’t believe it myself, but I have only started! Much more to learn!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been easy of course, it still isn’t! I’m only five months in. I was so scared because I didn’t know how to get clients. In the beginning, it was slow. Thanks to social media, I was able to promote my work. I did my best job on each of my clients. Then for December, I was fully booked. January 2022 was a rough start of a new year, I was ready to give up. Of course, I wasn’t actually going to, this is my passion, before I knew it I was fully booked February 2022 in the middle of January! It wasn’t even February yet. I’ve learned so much so far, entrepreneurship comes with so many challenges. I am so blessed to have my parents support. I am forever grateful for the support I have received from my parents and from all of my clients that have trusted me in making them feel and look like the best version of themselves.

I am a licensed esthetician, I am also a certified acne specialist , and of course a certified lash artist. I specialize in brows and lashes.
The best thing about being my own boss is that I can dedicate as much time as I want on my clients. I hated being rushed just to fit more clients. So I take my time in all of my appointments to be sure I’m always giving 100% . I do lash extensions, lash lifts, brow waxing, brow lamination, and my most popular brow service, henna brows!
I can do anything from a natural look , to a more glam look ! I really love when clients let me do what I think looks best on them!
