Today we’d like to introduce you to Natalie Ardizzoni
Hi Natalie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
As a bartender in college, I was always making colorful cocktails or pouring a glass of wine, and thought to myself how fun it would be to have a vibrantly colored wine glass to pair my beverage with. I set out on a mission to find the perfect set of colored wine glasses, and after searching high and low all over the internet, I just not find what I was looking for – the colors either weren’t right or only the base of the glass was colored, the style of the glass wasn’t what I was looking for, etc.
So i decided to take matters into my own hands and I finally decided to source my own perfect glasses and I worked with a supplier to have my own custom colored glasses made. Friends and family who saw the glasses swooned over them asking where I bought them — I always had to tell them “they’re not available on the market”… well, not available yet. After months of planning and tons of samples to curate the perfect collection of colored glasses, GlassHause glasses are finally available to everyone!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it hasn’t always been smooth. Running a business out of my small NYC apartment presents unique challenges, particularly with space constraints that limit growth. For instance, managing inventory for my 20 different color wine glasses can be tricky. Sometimes, my supplier sends glasses with color discrepancies. When the difference is noticeable, those glasses can’t be used as intended. In some cases, the color variation is significant enough that I can rebrand the glass as a new product—hence the addition of four pink glasses to my collection. However, if the color variation is too minor to market as a new shade but too distinct to pass as the original, those glasses become unusable, adding to the challenges. Despite these hurdles, each obstacle has provided learning opportunities and pushed me to innovate within my constraints.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about GlassHauseCo?
I launched this business back in 2022 and have come a long way since then! My brand specializes in colored wine glasses, offering an impressive variety of 20 different colors and five pre-selected ombre sets that have become huge sellers. What sets us apart from others is our unique and extensive color range, which is unmatched in the market.
