Hi Nichole, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
It’s such a privilege to be featured in Voyage magazine again, only this time here in Austin. I started Yeti at Betti Wax Studio in Pearland, TX, in 2016. I am a licensed Esthetician of 10 years and love what I do! I now reside in North Austin Tx where I’ve added Forever Dazzled Permanent Jewelry to Yeti To Betti. I love beauty and wellness and wanted to add some sparkle. I started permanent jewelry while on maternity leave after being blessed with a beautiful daughter. I love getting to network with others through my jewelry. I have met so many people from all over! It’s my favorite part, but it also allows me to leave a sparkle and smile on everyone I meet. I have a shop where you can get permanent jewelry solo, with a friend or loved one, or even a group. I also offer full body waxing, lash lifts, brow laminations, and soon Bespoke Korean treatments and skincare.
Let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
Business is challenging. From taxes to providing services to all the back-of-house stuff you must do. Now, with social media, it’s like you need a degree in that alone. It’s exhausting, but for me, every smiling face I get to encounter makes it worth it.
We’ve been impressed with Forever Dazzled Permanent Jewelry, but for folks who might need to be more familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Permanent jewelry is the latest trend of clasp-less jewelry, custom-fitted and then welded together. I help you bring a custom design to life. I offer a wide variety of chains, 14k gold filled, rose gold filled, sterling silver, and stainless steel. I also have a variety of charms and connectors in all different metal qualities to customize your chain. I guarantee my welds, which means if at any point your chain comes apart at a weld or the chain breaks, bring it into my shop or catch me at a pop, and I will fix it at no cost. I can do special orders as well. I want you to know what you are getting in and out.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
As for the future, I believe that anything that brings a sense of calm and beauty to our lives will always be in trend. This is the essence of permanent jewelry; it’s not just an accessory; it’s a forever accessory. You don’t have to remember to put it on or take it off, simplifying life. In the next 5-10 years, I envision a world where we are always accessorized, remembering a lasting memory with our unique forever pieces.
