Today we’d like to introduce you to Reza Rostamnejad.
Hi Reza, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve had a few “before and after” moments in my life. The first was at 17, when I left my home country alone and landed in the U.S. with a heavy accent and a short vocabulary. The first week felt like silence—wanting to say so much and not knowing the words yet. I picked up shifts, picked up phrases, and kept showing up. Two years later I moved again—this time to Texas—because I wanted a place where I could build something that lasted.
I worked full-time while studying full-time and graduated with honors in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas. It was the proudest moment of a long grind. But when the noise of graduation faded, I noticed a quieter truth: I missed people. I wanted work where someone’s face, family, and future sat across from me—not just numbers on a screen.
Real estate became that bridge. The first time I handed over keys, I watched a family step into a house and exhale; I still remember the look. Since then—over the last 2½ years—I’ve helped more than 50 people find a place they’re proud to call home in the Austin area. Many were moving from across Texas or another state, carrying the same questions I once had: Where do I start? Who can I trust? Will this actually feel like home?
Because I’ve lived those questions, my business is built around answers. I focus on relocation with a clear, human process: learning a client’s lifestyle first; mapping commutes and schools; private video tours for long-distance buyers; data that’s explained in plain English (and Farsi, when it helps); vetted lenders and inspectors; contract strategy that protects them; and a move-in checklist that doesn’t stop at closing. Clients describe me as the brother who shows up—calm when things get messy, relentless when it matters, and present long after the paperwork is done.
Austin gave me room to grow into myself. I try to return the favor—sharing neighborhood guides, first-weekend ideas, and small businesses worth knowing, and staying in touch months later to hear how the house has become a home. If there’s a theme to my story, it’s this: start over when you need to, keep your standards high, and take care of people the way you wish someone had taken care of you. That’s the work I’m proud to do—one person, one move, one home at a time.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been smooth. Early on I fought two things at once: a language barrier and grief (From the passing of my dad) that showed up without warning. Both taught me to communicate clearly and stay steady when life isn’t. In real estate, the challenge was starting without a built-in network and learning fast under pressure—contracts, deadlines, inspections, lending—while guiding clients who were choosing homes from a distance. I missed a few early wins and turned every miss into a checklist and a system. Perfectionism was another hurdle; I’ve learned to act first and refine quickly instead of overthinking. Market swings and rate spikes forced better planning and straight talk. The throughline: show up, tell the truth, keep your word—and turn every obstacle into a repeatable process for the next client.
We’ve been impressed with Reza Rostamnejad – Realtor, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I run a real estate practice in Austin. I help people buy, sell, and—most often—move to Austin from across Texas or another state/country. I’m known for a calm, organized process and straight talk.
What I do / specialize in
Buy-side strategy: area shortlists, pricing intel, offer structure, negotiation.
Sell-side strategy: pricing, prep, listing launch, lead handling, deal terms.
Contract-to-close: deadlines, escrow, inspections, repairs, appraisal, lender coordination.
Risk management: contingencies, disclosures, compliance, clean paperwork.
Relocation execution: orientation, timeline planning, vendor coordination, smooth handoff on move-in.
Communication: fast updates, clear next steps, bilingual Farsi/English.
What sets me apart
I’ve lived the “start from zero” move myself, so I built systems that remove guesswork: checklists for every step, clear expectations, and fast, bilingual communication (Farsi/English). I combine data (pricing, comps, absorption, rate scenarios) with the human side (how a street feels at night, where you’ll get coffee). Clients describe me as steady under pressure and relentless when it matters.
Proof / brand
In ~2.5 years I’ve helped 50+ people make Austin home. The win I care about most is the follow-up text months later: “This was the right move.” My brand is simple: make it personal, make it count, make it right.
What I want readers to know
If you’re planning a move to Austin—or planning your next chapter here—you’ll get a clear plan, accountable execution, and someone who treats your decision with the weight it deserves.
What matters most to you?
What matters most is that my clients make the most informed decision possible for their situation. If the right call is to wait—not buy or not sell right now—that’s exactly what I’ll advise. My job is to lay out the data, risks, and options clearly, then protect their interests without pressure. The best part of this work comes after closing: when the agent–client relationship turns into a real friendship. Staying in touch, watching their life grow inside that home, and being the first call when the next chapter arrives—that’s the win that matters to me.
