Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
FjORD began as a backyard experiment in January 2023. A DIY backyard cold plunge turned into a passion, and eventually birthed our mission to create the market’s most reliable cold plunge. In the beginning, we were selling DIY cold plunges to neighbors and friends, and 3 years later the business has evolved into manufacturing our own American-made cold plunges in Austin TX and selling nation-wide to homeowners and commercial customer such as wellness centers, gyms, hotels and medical clinics.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
As any entrepreneur will tell you, starting a business is not for the faint of heart. Our struggle for the first 18 month was simply on the R&D side. Turns out it’s easy to create a DIY cold plunge, but challenging to manufacture a HIGH QUALITY and RELIABLE cold plunge. With the help of our industry-best engineering team, we have succeeded in developing a durable, easty-to-maintain, reliable cold plunge with the lowest failure rate in the market.
We’ve been impressed with FjORD Cold Plunge, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We specialize in manufacturing and sell American-made cold plunges from the highest quality components. Our customers buy from us because they’ve typically owned another big-name cold plunge brand that has failed. When other brands fail, FjORD steps in to fill the reliability need. This is especially appealing to commercial customers in a high-usage environment. I’m proud of building 1,000 true fans for the brand, without spending a single dollar on paid ads.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Swimming in the icy waters of a Norwegian FjORD. My first cold water experience as a young adult.
