Community Highlights: Meet Teasia Cooper of Teasia R. Cooper, Texas Realtor, Brokered by Redbird Realty

Today we’d like to introduce you to Teasia Cooper.

Hi Teasia, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My path to real estate has always been rooted in service, precision, and people.

I am originally from Virginia and have called Texas home since 2009. I served in the U.S. Army and deployed to Iraq from 2009 to 2010, an experience that profoundly shaped how I move through the world. The military instilled in me discipline, accountability, and the ability to operate under pressure while staying focused on the mission. Those lessons continue to guide me both personally and professionally.

After transitioning out of the military, I spent several years in the hospitality industry, where I learned the art of anticipation, understanding needs before they are voiced, delivering consistency under pressure, and creating experiences that feel seamless and intentional. That foundation still defines how I operate today and became the bridge between military service and real estate.

When I entered real estate, I brought both worlds with me. I have been told I care too much about my clients, and I have come to see that as my superpower. My goal is never just to complete a transaction. It is to become a trusted partner and confidant throughout one of the most important decisions of someone’s life. I take that responsibility seriously and approach every client relationship with intention, preparation, and care.

I am extremely detail-oriented and strategic in how I work. Every client has a different vision, timeline, and set of priorities, so I start by listening. From there, I build a customized strategy that aligns with their goals and positions them for success. Education and transparency are central to my process because I believe purchasing a home is a luxury everyone deserves, and that luxury should include clarity, advocacy, and a tailored experience from start to finish.

That approach has allowed me to build a high-performing business as a solo producing agent while remaining deeply involved in every transaction. I have sold hundreds of homes, help approximately 50 families each year, and closed nearly ten million dollars in sales in 2025 alone. I am proud to be the top-producing agent in my brokerage of nearly 200 agents and honored to be ranked 76th out of over 1,000 Central Texas agents. Those achievements reflect consistency, trust, and long-term client relationships.

Today, I serve buyers, sellers, and relocating families throughout the Austin area. Outside of real estate, I am a mom to a 17-year-old daughter and two dogs, and I travel often. Experiencing different cultures and hospitality standards continues to influence how I think about service. One day, I aspire to own my own hotel or resort as a natural extension of my passion for experience-driven spaces and thoughtful care.

I truly believe I will be selling homes well into my 80s. There is no better feeling than helping someone achieve a dream they once thought was out of reach, and that sense of purpose is what continues to drive me every day.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been a completely smooth road, but it has been an important one.

Early in my career, I was told very plainly that social media would never pan out and that it would not bring in meaningful or quality clients. That feedback came while I was working on a large real estate team in Central Texas that, from the outside, appeared extremely successful. Internally, the environment was rigid and limiting. We were expected to focus solely on converting leads, follow a very narrow definition of professionalism, and minimize personal connection with clients.

I was encouraged to change how I showed up, how I dressed, how expressive I was, and how closely I worked with the people I served. Caring deeply about clients was viewed as being too involved, and individuality was discouraged in favor of uniformity. I was also told that my personality did not fit the mold of what a “team player” should look like.

Being fired from that brokerage turned out to be the best thing that could have happened to me professionally. At the time, it was painful, but it forced me to get tough, trust myself, and figure things out on my own. I could no longer rely on a system or a title. I had to rely on my work ethic, my values, and my belief in how I wanted to serve clients.

The very next day after I was let go, my first client at my next brokerage found me through social media and sent me a direct message. We closed their home just 30 days later. The commission from that single transaction was larger than what I had earned from more than 25 transactions combined the entire year before. I cried at that closing, not because of the money, but because it was confirmation that I was finally moving in the right direction.

That experience taught me that sometimes you have to be your own cheerleader before anyone else is ready to cheer for you. It showed me the power of authentically and unapologetically promoting my service, my values, and how deeply I care for my clients. Once I stopped trying to fit into someone else’s version of success, everything began to align.

Since then, my social media platforms have grown into a true community built on trust, education, and connection. I may not be for everyone, and I am completely at peace with that. The people who resonate with me value transparency, energy, and genuine advocacy, and those relationships are what continue to fuel my business today.

Looking back, those early challenges were not setbacks. They were the catalyst that shaped my confidence, resilience, and clarity as a business owner.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Teasia R. Cooper, Texas Realtor, Brokered by Redbird Realty?
At its core, my business is built around people, strategy, and experience.

As a Realtor, I specialize in guiding buyers, sellers, and relocating families throughout the Austin area with a highly personalized, strategy-driven approach. I am known for being detail-oriented, proactive, and deeply invested in my clients’ success. Every client I work with receives a tailored plan based on their goals, timeline, lifestyle, and long-term vision. There is no one-size-fits-all model in my business because every client’s situation deserves individual attention and care.

What sets me apart is how intentional I am about the full experience. I don’t just help clients buy or sell a home, I serve as a trusted partner and advisor throughout the entire process. I believe education and transparency are essential, so my clients always understand what is happening, why decisions are being made, and how each step supports their larger goals. That clarity creates confidence, and confidence changes the entire experience.

I am also known for my client advocacy and consistency. I work as a solo producing agent, which allows me to stay hands-on with every transaction. I help roughly 50 families each year and have sold hundreds of homes by focusing on relationships rather than volume alone. Many of my clients come through referrals or social media, where I have built a community rooted in trust, education, and authenticity. My platforms are not just marketing tools, they are an extension of how I serve.

Brand-wise, I am most proud of how aligned my business feels. I have never tried to fit into a traditional mold of what a top-producing agent should look or sound like. My brand is energetic, approachable, and confident, while still being professional, strategic, and results-driven. I believe purchasing a home is a luxury everyone deserves, and that belief shows up in how I treat every client, regardless of price point or stage of life.

I am proud to be affiliated with Redbird Realty, an agent-driven brokerage that supports autonomy, growth, and ethical business practices. That environment allows me to operate my business at a high level while staying true to my values and putting my clients first.

What I want readers to know is simple. My work is rooted in service, my standards are high, and my clients are my driving force. If you value transparency, strategy, and a luxury experience that still feels human and personal, my brand was built with you in mind.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Mentorship and networking have been instrumental in my growth, and for me, the biggest lesson has been that mentors do not always come from where you expect.

My first mentor is a top-producing luxury agent based in Atlanta, Georgia. I met her through social media after aspiring to build a brand similar to hers, and we connected during one of her Instagram Lives. That relationship grew organically over time. During COVID, she hosted Zoom calls that poured into us both collectively and individually, and she became a grounding force for me, especially during the period when I was fired from my first brokerage. Having a woman of her caliber believe in me during that season made a lasting impact.

Another mentor of mine is Felieca Reed. What started as admiration for her work turned into a professional relationship when she became my photographer, and over time she evolved into one of my closest confidants. She constantly pours into my soul and reminds me of who I am when things get heavy. That relationship reinforced for me that mentorship does not always start in traditional ways. Sometimes it grows through proximity, trust, and mutual respect.

My broker, Jeff Garza, has also been a powerful mentor in my life. He is a true powerhouse and was named San Antonio’s Broker of the Year. He saw something in me and took a chance, even joking that he was teaching an old dog new tricks. He helped me recognize my full potential and challenged me to elevate in ways I had not yet imagined. His leadership and emphasis on education have played a major role in my continued growth.

Because mentorship has played such a pivotal role in my journey, it is something I am deeply committed to paying forward. I currently offer a mentorship program for real estate professionals and am rolling out additional educational resources this year, including professional development materials and webinars designed to support agents at different stages of their careers. My goal is to make real-world, experience-driven education accessible to agents everywhere, not just those in my immediate market.

What I always tell new agents is to stay teachable and be a sponge. Watch how successful people move, how they structure their processes, and how they show up for their clients. Your mentor does not have to be in your office or even in your state. Real estate offers an abundance of free and paid educational opportunities. Find the voices that resonate with you, invest in continued education, and align yourself with a brokerage that prioritizes growth and learning.

At the end of the day, what you put into this industry is what you will get out of it. I believe in lifelong learning, and that belief continues to shape how I build my business and support others in theirs.
